Wittenberg was a tragical-comedy performed at our very own Roger Williams University. It was a play starring three main characters. There was Hamlet, Martin Luther, and Doctor Faustus. Through out the play Hamlet confides in both Luther and Faustus, who happen to both teach at the University of Wittenberg. Luther is a professor of theology as well as a priest. Another professor at the University is Dr. Faustus, who is a philosophical professor. He also helps people who encounter difficulties with spiritual and psychological troubles. Both instructors help advise Hamlet who is a young danish prince and a student at the University. Except Hamlet finds himself receiving two completely opposing directions of guidance.
