Starbucks “Starbucks began in 1971 in the Seattle’s pike place market as a retailer that roasted whole and ground coffee beans” (Starbucks, 2011). They later became the best known coffee shop in the world. According to "Starbucks" (2011), the organization has a total of 17,003 locations in 55 different countries. “Starbucks mission is to inspire and nurture the human spirit-one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time” (Starbucks, 2011). Equally substantial with Dave & Buster’s corporation sustainability; Starbucks placed emphasis on in-store practices of customer service. Moreover, the company administrators believe that this strategy has been significant to the corporation 's success, moving transactions from a 1994 level of $284 million to over $1.3 billion in 1998. Also Starbucks has also moved into combined endeavors or alliances to infiltrate the grocery market with its full bean and ground coffees and Frappuccino, and is also implementing a new Internet occurrence to offer customers with online chances to obtain coffee and other food products as well as an increasing assortment of kitchen and beverage accessories. Additionally if Starbucks continue to implement strategies that outweigh their competitors globally they will always have an advantage on the market. Furthermore, the few strategies just mentioned are the same strategies our team chooses to implement within Starbucks because these were innovative strategies that help the corporation to maintain its sustainability on the global market. Moreover, the estimation of how Starbucks competitive strategies might affect sustainability of long-term managerial performance consist of how the company is continuously applying state-of-the-art ideas within the organization that abolishes all competition on the global
