I am a competitive skater from a club called Hayden, across the street from LHS. In general, I have been skating for 10 years, and have been competitive for 6 years. I have gone to U.S. Nationals 3 times, and out of the three I have placed 3rd, 3rd and most recently in February of 2015, 2nd. Nationals earlier this year happened to be in Providence, RI which you mentioned in your letter as where you recently lived. Just a quick heads up but I do have two major competitions (regionals and nationals) later in the year around February and March. I will be missing nearly a week of school for each of these events; I certainly will talk to you and my other teacher about assignments, quizzes, test, etc. that I will be missing in these time periods

This is your VP of Membership, Deven Kimoto, and I just want to congratulate you all for making it through 5 months both into the 2016-2017 school year and with Key Club. Keep up the hard work!
The flag waves majestically in the wind above me, or, that’s what I’ve been told it would be doing if the flagless practice pole in my hand was actually a color guard flag. Learning color guard is boring and, I couldn’t care less about marching slowly with the American flag. And, the dumb egoistic guy who demands we scream, “aye, P.O,” after everything he says, is not improving my mood. I want to be inside shooting an air rifle, but instead I’m loathing color guard. It is the millionth time I have gotten stuck with a task I didn’t want to do since I joined my Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) unit, and, quite frankly, I’m worn out.
In “The Masque of the Red Death” by Edgar Allan Poe the allegory of this story is death, symbolically and literally. The literal portion is about the Red Death and how no one can escape it.
In this case study, The Procurement Integrity act is called upon in order to make an ethical decision if I was the CEO.
After interviewing Joe, I decided to interview a student that has visited three times the Counseling Center. My interviewee’s name is Maryam Mirzaei. She is 26 years old and identifies as Persian. Maryam was born in Iran and is about to transfer to California State University, Northridge. I asked her what is her definition of culture, has she ever felt excluded based on her culture or ethnic background, what she wishes people knew about her, and how has she seen Pierce incorporate diversity on campus. Maryam stated her cultural background is her way of living. Because of her Persian roots, she celebrates a lot of Persian holidays. They remind her who she is and where her ethnic values come from. She feels comfortable knowing that in a lot of
You know it, it's the one and only wrestling! You are probably living in a cave plus not be living your life's full potential if you don't know what wrestling is! Wrestling involves many things like its diet, its history, plus its rules!
On the morning of Saturday, October 31st, we had cheer practice. Ms. Perez had brought up the idea of captains for this year's cheer team. All of us thought it was a good idea. So she decided that we would vote today. We were all kind of surprised we were doing it right here and right now. We got to thinking about it and we decided it was smart to do it now because then it would be easier just to get it done and over with.

Imagine being at the top of the world, on a bitter cold mountain, over top of an enormous crowd. The lustrous lights are shining below on the massive jump created for the professional snowboard competition that will decide whether you win or lose the competition. I have dreamed of being a professional snowboarder as my dream job ever since I have been introduced into the sport of snowboarding. Being on top of the enormous slope and strapping into my bindings instantly makes me feel relaxed and puts a grin on my face. While gliding down the mountain I become focused and dialed in on my riding. Being a professional snowboarder as an occupation, I would compete in large competitions such as the X- Games or the Olympics to win prizes and gain popularity. The excitement from the crowd and the view from the course would give me goosebumps as I race to the finish. This would give me the rush of happiness and excitement every time I strap into my bindings to compete and make it seem like I would never work a day in my life. Competing in snowboard competitions as a professional snowboarder would be my passion and dream job in life all while traveling and being with friends.
Good morning everyone today I am going to talk to you about how Contiki was created and how the company became a success. Contiki began from John’s own desire to see Europe cheaply. He is the man who was behind all the successes of Contiki and came up with the idea of this tour company. To make this happen, there were guides that he went through to help establish this tourism business. I will also talk to you about how he grows the business and make it a success and of course the traps to watch out when running a business.
There is no question that after giving about four speeches, I have become a much better overall public speaker. In the beginning of the semester, I would tend to get nervous during some of my speeches and consequently the delivery of my speech would be greatly affected. If I had made a mistake, my level of nervousness would drastically increase and I wouldn’t know how to correct it. Although today I have improved on these aspects. Normally in order to control my nerves I try to think as positively as possible. This is critical because when I start to think even a little bit negatively then I severely hurt my chances of giving a good speech. Instead today, my main priority is to stay very confident and tell myself that I’m going to perform fine.
