By constructing a Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), TG Enterprises would be better equipped to respond to any security incidents from these threats, saving the company money and limiting the damage caused by these threats. CIRST Benefits The function of a CSIRT team is “to react in a timely fashion, to intrusions, types of theft, denial of service attacks and many other events that have yet be to executed or considered against their company” (Proffitt, 2007, p.3). In order to be able to respond to these types of attacks, the CSIRT must also stay up to date on past, current, and emerging threats.
