Mission, vision and value statements are guiding principles that need to be at the forefront of an organization’s strategic initiative. In order to have a successful organization a strong strategic objective must be in place. This essay will discuss the descriptive analysis regarding the mission and vision of Southwest Airlines and it differentiate its organization from its competitors. Values and Guiding Principles The core value of Southwest Airlines revolves around the belief that in today’s economy more and more people are finding it more difficult to travel at an affordable price. Those individuals who make time to workout do it in a way that may not be suitable. Southwest Airlines believes that everyone needs proper guidance in planning low cost affordable travel that meets their needs. Southwest Airlines aims to satisfy these requirements, by providing an environment that is desirable to our customers. This organization firmly believes that technology can be work together with consultants to target a wide range of customers, who are looking for a quick and efficient way to beat the, hassles of how we arranges our travel plans today. The President of Southwest Airlines will look at providing services to its customers at a very competitive price.
Organization’s Strategic Direction In the future, Southwest Airlines looks to achieve horizontal and vertical growth expansions. As Southwest Airlines becomes more profitable, their organization wants to be in a position to take over other competitor’s in the airline industry. Southwest Airlines will strive to f build a closer relationship with other airlines in order to get more functional and technical knowledge. Currently Southwest Airlines offers services in 97 destinations in 41 states with opportunity to expand.
