The Middle East is said to the home of some of the holiest sites for people of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faiths. The conflict between Israel and Palestine is not one to take lightly.
There are faults on both sides. Israel is said to be “the holy land” for the Jews and was a gift from God given to the Israelites who are the ancestors of the modern Jewish people (“Israel”). Many texts state the boundaries of Israel, but they vary in where those boundaries lie. Although there are frequent references to modern day Israel in both the Quran and Ahadith of Prophet Muhammad (Islamic Association for Palestine). However, because neither of the three books have a set date as to when they were written I believe that the land belongs to the Jews of Israel.
According to the Islamic Association for Palestine, “ Palestine is the land of prophets who were sent with the message of Islam and hence should not be ruled by anyone other than those who uphold the message of Islam by implementing its laws and regulations.” Muslims believe that Palestine should be ruled by a Muslim leader not by a Jewish one. Palestine is a holy site in which many of the prophets were either born there or died there. Palestine was brought under Muslim rule at the time of Umar ibn al-Khattab, who was the second Khalifa of the Muslims. It was then made part of the Islamic state and ruled by Islamic law. In 1517 the Ottoman Empire conquered what is now known as Israel, and ruled it until the British conquered it
