Conflicts are inevitable but they initiate changes and opportunities for spiritual growth. Interpersonal conflicts are not usually thought of as a Bible topic. However, there is an exorbitant amount on the subject in regards to dealing with other people. There is at least one passage in every book in the New Testament to believers to live at peace with one another. The largest part is found in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles. No matter what the conflict may be the Bible 's advice is spiritually sound and practical for promoting peace and harmony, whomever and whatever the conflict may be. We are repeatedly instructed to love one another as seen in John 13:34, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” These verses tell us to love one another and sacrifice one’s self. This kind of love should be extended to strangers, for we are all of the same flesh, and created after the image of God. One another should live in peace and harmony as stated in Romans 15:5, “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had” The ones who are strong should be patient with those who are weaker. Our goal is to not only please ourselves but to lift them up so to please God. Even Jesus did not put himself first.
