1. Manage paperwork efficiently
A great way to manage paperwork more efficiently is to create a filing process and system, which is best suited to personal habits and work environment. This simplifies work, and maximizes time and performance for yourself and other work colleagues. Effective file management includes removing unnecessary documents, following a consistent work method for naming files and folders, and storing related items together. Also keeping current work separated from completed work leaves a work area much more manageable.
Customizing file management to how you work personally, helps prioritize different tasks and create better efficiency.

With the time which is left available it is used to schedule personal goals and priorities. At this point it is essential to analyze activities and identify tasks that can be delegated or deleted.
4. Delegate effectively
Delegation is giving someone else the responsibility for carrying out a task while still retaining accountability. It is one of the most important management skills which saves time, motivates and develops people.
When deciding to delegate a task there are some other factors to take into consideration. The knowledge, skills and attitude of the individual, whether they require any training, the independence of the person and do their long term goals and interests align with the work proposed and the current workload of the person. Also it is very important to ask if they have the time to take on the task or not.
5. Hold and participate in effective
The system must be easily understood to others who may need access; creating only the records that are necessary, using a sensible and logical naming system, keeping the files and records up to date by sorting them regularly are ways to keep the system productive, simple and efficient. Faster filing and retrieval,
Delegation is a skill that is learned overtime with experience. It is a management tool that should be used effectively. In a successful delegation, a two-way communication, initiative, appreciation and willingness to help each other is very important. It helps in building trust and a
The term delegation in context of nursing refers to a process of assigning responsibility and authority to co-worker while ensuring the accountability of the task. Direction is defined as a series of process which include guiding, supervising and evaluating the outcome of the assigned task. Delegation is a complex process which requires clinical judgments and accountability of the task. When delegating task it is necessary for the registered nurse to understand the complexity and variability of each health consumer’s situation and also should be able to determine to whom the task should be delegated e.g. enrolled nurse or health care assistant. Direction is a central point around which accomplishment of task take place.
Delegation is when an individual who is responsible and has authority over a task transfers the responsibility of the task to another person who is qualified and agrees to perform such task (Sullivan, 2012, p.132). Delegation is a leadership skill because the person who delegates the task is using judgement to transfer the task to someone whose skills are better matched and it empowers other health care members. For example, when a registered nurse (RN) delegates to a certified nursing assistant (CNA) to start an IV this is freeing up time so the nurse can perform discharge instructions to another patient. “Effective delegation contributes to job satisfaction, empowerment, responsibility, productivity, professional growth, and effective patient care” (Kærnested & Bragadóttir, 2012).
1. Keeping your storage and work area as organized as possible will help you complete the job faster. It's totally uninspiring to work in a cluttered room. Keep your tools in shelves and remove rags, paper and other things in the area before working. This will help you find the equipment more easily when needed.
The business issue to be solved is how to better advance operational productivities, lower costs, and increase insight into the interface of the document management system with a more technological improved case management system for cultivated vital planning and performance controls.
The importance of delegation can be for several reasons. While I was in the military delegation was broken down at least three ways; leadership, empowerment, and development. As a leader it is important that your peers and Soldiers learn and know how to accomplish missions as they have received from others. If you give them a certain task, you are expecting them to accomplish it without coming directly to you for direction. Once they have completed the mission that would give them courage to take in the next mission. They will feel empowered as they learn their tasks and then have the confidence to teach other and then become professionals. Along with this, it will encourage the others to develop and be successful. The best way of doing this
According to Bateman, there are six skills necessary for effective delegation. The first is to define the goal at hand. This step requires that the manager have a clear understanding of what he or she wants to achieve. (Bateman et al, 2004). Secondly, would be to select a person for the job. The manager needs to make sure that this person is capable of performing the task. He or she also needs to make sure the sub-ordinate has a clear understanding of what is to be accomplished. Third, would be to get the sub-ordinates views about suggested approaches. This step makes the appointed person
As a nurse you must delegate tasks on a daily bases. We delegate to care partners, fellow nurses, charge nurses, secretaries and others. Last week I successfully delegated to a care partner the task of drawing blood. I did use the delegation process that is explained in Sullivan, (2013) but was unware at the time that I was preforming the task correctly. I defined the task, decided to delegate to the correct person, determined the task, asked the care partner to perform the task and did monitor the performance by following up with the care partner and thanking her. Negative outcomes also happen when delegating. Usually the negative experiences result in the task not getting done by the person you delegate to. A few weeks ago I asked a care
Delegation is very important in business success; if properly done can save money and time, help in building skills, and motivate people while poor delegation, on the other hand, might cause frustration and confusion to all the involved parties. Being the delegated self motivated, it pushes him from inside to give more to the company and accept more tasks to improve his ability to be an ideal employee and builds a strong community in company in general and between the manager and his delegate specially. It is a way of strengthen the loyalty of the delegate.
In the scenario given there were five behaviors of delegation used. They were: clarifying the assignment, specifying the employee's range of discretion, allow the employees to participate, inform others that delegation has occurred, and establish proper feedback channels. In this paper, each behavior will be discussed as used in the scenario, and will give specific detail of how we as managers would have handled the delegation.
When delegating a task to any team subordinate, it is important to remember the key parts that create effective delegation. If something is misinterpreted or is not delivered appropriately, it can change the whole dynamics. A very good sign of a leader or manager is how they delegate and how they follow up. Whether you’re a manager, assistant manager, a leader, owner of a business, or working with a group on a school project, being able to effectively delegate tasks will, in fact will help the overall goal. Delegation means more than just assigning employees tasks, it increases confidence and satisfaction into its employees as well as allowing the leader or manager more time to focus on other important items (How to delegate effectively, 2010). With that, delegating tasks strategically and planning them out for the employees will be more effective. Although, delegating work for some may be a challenge, because they believe that they can get all the work done quickly and accurately, alone. Identifying those challenges and actively learning how to delegate work effectively will increase the moral of the work environment.
(ii) requires postage for mailing or effort for delivering (iii) often gets stored in file cabinets that is space consuming, (iv) requires additional work to update and destroy. so, finding no other way, managers are trying to reduce paper work to minimize the cost and improve office productivity. only office automation provides a number of ways for accomplishing these through the use of
Throughout the year we have completed a total of 3 internal assessments. All the assessments used different application softwares and operating systems in order to complete the various tasks. My file management was appropriate for each of the assessments completed.
Delegation is very important to utilize when a manager is trying to accomplish a task when they cannot do it themselves. Delegation is mostly used to give someone with authority to assign designated task to another person. However, the person that is delegating the task still assumes responsibility to make sure that the task gets completed. For example, when the manager delegates a task to you, he or she is likely still responsible for making sure that task is accomplished. With delegating, an attempt is being made to have meaningful participation and cooperation from the staff for achieving the required goal. When delegating responsibilities of the manager are reduced. As a result, he or she concentrates on more urgent and important matters.
