With every terrorist attack that occurs, there are always conspiracy theories that begin to float around about what “really happened” during the attacks. The most popular and well known conspiracy theories of the 9/11 attacks are that there was a missile or some sort of a different type of plane that crashed into the first tower at 9:37am on September 11th. Even though there were many witnesses who claimed they saw the Boeing 757 hit the tower, there are many that still believe it was a missile instead. Some conspiracy theorists claim that there was no plane wreckage at the site of the crash at the Pentagon, which does not make sense whatsoever when there are picture and video proof showing debris from the plane that crashed into the Pentagon. Allyn Kilsheimer was the first structural engineer who arrived at the site of the crash at the Pentagon who even stated that he found plane debris and even the black box from the plane. Another conspiracy theory states that they believe the Twin Towers were taken down by a controlled explosion that occurred in both towers and were not hit by planes. Conspiracy theorists also claim that United Airlines Flight 93, was shot down and crashed into an open field in Pennsylvania after passengers tried to gain back control of the plane from the hijackers. Another popular conspiracy theory that they also claim that occurred was that the United States government knew about the attacks before they occurred. The United States has the most powerful
On September 11, 2001, 19 people hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against their targets.. Two of the planes crashed into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, the third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., including more than 400 police officers and firefighters. (“9/11 attacks”2010). The conspiracy theories started just days after the September 11, 2001 attack. The conspiracies were easy to spread fast when using the internet and they became more and more elaborate as time went on. The most popular 9/11 conspiracy theory is that 9/11 was orchestrated by the American government.
One of the most controversial events ever to occur is still being talked about to this day. September 11th, 2001 will forever go down in history as one of the most tragic disasters to hit the United States of America. It was heartbreak for all of us to see those towers fall and thousands upon thousands of American lives destroyed. One might ask themselves; didn’t everything get explained a little too quickly? Why did everyone so quickly forget the details to this tragedy? The events of September 11th, 2001 are surely going to be remembered for its brutal truth and will always remind us of the hate that we as humans can create. The events of September 11th happened so fast that lots of details were overlooked but now, six years later one
Those who believe the WTC was destroyed by controlled demolitions argue the debris that blew out of windows was the result of an explosive. But experts disagree by saying the debris was simply the contents of the offices inside being blown out with air as the floors collapsed on top of each other. Also, demolition professionals say explosives are placed on lower levels, whereas, the planes hit the buildings at very high floors. No signs of a bomb were found in the wreckage of the buildings (Debunking the 9/11 myths, n.d.). Those who believe the planes that hit the WTC were remote controlled say there is no way al Qaeda could have even come up with the plan to hijack and crash the planes, much less have acted it out within an hour. The manufacturer stated the planes that hit the buildings had only one system of control: from the flight deck. Many telephone calls were made from passengers on the planes saying they were being hijacked.
In Loose Change part 2, flight 93 that crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. At the crash site there is no evidence of flight 93 just a little crater that shows that the plane pould of had to hit the ground at a vertical dive. Before the crash there were three out of many eyewitnesses who were talked to. Susan Mcelwain, said she saw a white plane flew over her and her van, she said it was about 40 ft. above her and she didn’t here a noise. She said it looked like a military plane, as she watched it fly behind tree’s and heard an explosion she thought it crashed, until the FBI told her there was no other plane around there, only flight 93. Then later the FBI changed there story and said it was taking pictures of the crash site. Tom Spinelli and Lee Perba said they had also
Before the settlers landed in Jamestown, The Indians occupied the land and lived there for centuries. They were the first people to arrive in Jamestown. Some say there were 25,000 Indians; others say around 50,000 of the American natives, who lived on the land. There were about thirty different tribes whom the powhatan chiefdom took charge. However, each tribe had their own chief. In time there would be a change; King James 1 of England granted for another colony to be established under the Virginia Company of London which consisted of many wealthy Englishmen who wanted to invest their money into the company. They expected to
What if everything one was supposed to believe was wrong? What if the people who are supposed to protect citizens from danger, do not? What if 9/11, the most tragic day in American history, was caused by the people we are supposed to respect and we are supposed and to believe, our government? Could our government have masterminded this horrific crime? Actually, I believe they did. In August 1997, on the front cover of FEMA’s, The Federal Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Response to Terrorism Manual it shows the World Trade Center towers in the cross hairs, sights used for aiming a gun or missile for accuracy, and then again in June 2000, the Department of Justice released a world
On September 11, 2001 four passenger commercial jet airliners were hijacked and as a result approximately 3,000 human lives were lost. When asked about 9/11, many can recall exactly what they were doing when they heard the news that a plane crashed into one of the World Trade Center (WTC) buildings and many Americans can tell you how it all unfolded and the reason behind such a travesty. The “official story” provided by officials, and restated by Sofia Shafquat, producer of “9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions” say that “four passenger planes were hijacked and taken radically off course, within an hour, two of the planes had flown into the enormous steel towers of the World Trade Center, creating fires and eventually toppling them” (Shafquat).
September 11, 2001, was a day that caused physical and emotional destruction because of the terror attacks that took place at the World Trade Center and the Twin Towers. There are many conspiracy theories that have come up causing great speculation of what actually happened and are argued to this day.A conspiracy theory is a theory that explains an event as a result or secret plan organized by a covert group. Many conspiracists believe that the United States government was behind the 9/11 attacks and altered the events and information and persuaded citizens into believing that the Islamic group Al-Qaeda was responsible. Similarly in 1984 by George Orwell, the government alters the truth to keep control of the country. The main protagonist Winston Smith works at the Ministry of Truth where he works to destroy any evidence where Big Brother could be called into question and also changes how events happened to fit the Party’s expectations. The purpose of his job is for the other citizens to continue to believe that Oceania is a perfect place to live in because of its economic, social, and military dominance. The Party is also responsible for watching and hearing everything that happens in Oceania. The Thought Police placed telescreens in every household and through these telescreens everything someone does can be seen and heard leaving no one with privacy; comparable to how after the 9/11 attacks, security across the United States tightened up. Anything that was seen as suspicious
The official story of 9/11 is a conspiracy theory in that the government claims 19 hijackers conspired together to hijack four planes and create terror in the world. Four American airplanes were hijacked; two were driven into the World Trade Centers and the third airplane into the Pentagon. The fourth airplane suspected target was the White House, but it was diverted by the brave men and women aboard that hijacked airplane, and crashed the airline jet before it could reach its target. It was like time stood still as America watched through television broadcast these unbelievable and horrifying events taking place. The reports told of the smell the jet fuel, burning flesh, and people jumping out windows to their death to escape the flames.
When the twin towers, also called the world trade center fell down due to the terrorist attacks in 2001 there were conspiracies about how the twin towers fell. Some of the conspiracies seem true. For example, like someone or something other than al Qaeda orchestrated the events of 9/11. There is also another conspiracy that seems untrue as well. An example of this would be when a plane, flight 93 to be more specific was shot down by a missile in Pennsylvania.
With the evidence stated before, the researcher believes, 9/11 was a cover up planned from the start that the United States Government made up as an excuse to join the war in the Middle East. Along with government involvement they also blamed the attacks on a terrorist group. The researcher also believes that when an official government agency blames their doing on a terrorist are they any better than this person? The evidence that has been gathered for this topic shows, there is more to 9/11 than what is being told. The incriminating evidence showed the researcher and many other researchers that a controlled substance was used for the demolition of the towers.
According to a Scripps Howard poll, thirty-six percent of Americans believe that “Federal officials either assisted in the 9/11 attacks or took no action to prevent them because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East” and, based on the evidence, these beliefs are completely valid. The commonly accepted version of the tragic events which took place on September 11, 2001, is that a certain number of individuals from a terrorist group known as Al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and flew them into the two world trade buildings, the pentagon, and the last one into a field. How is it though, that the United States of America, having the strongest, most advanced military in the world, happened to miss not one, but four planes flying off course, heading straight for some of the most important buildings in the country? The sad truth is that they didn't miss these planes at all, evidence
Suena was walking home and she felt like she was being followed, but she thought it was because of the horror movie she watched the night before. It was about a twenty minute walk for Surena to get home and she often enjoyed but that day she didn’t enjoy it. When she got home there was a note on her fridge from her mother saying she’ll be back in a couple of hours and that there was leftovers in the fridge. She still had that icky feeling that someone was watching her, she kept saying in her head that it was just the horror movie scaring her. Her dog Belle was eating the couch again, when her mom got home she’d be mad. Surena went up stairs to her bedroom and forgot to lock the door that day, when her mother warned her many times before to
The first conspiracy about the Twin Towers is that President Bush and the government had actually planned the attack of the Twin Towers themselves. There was actually an interview of President Bush almost saying the word ‘conspiracy’, while confirming that there were actually no bombs in the building. One reason that people think Bush had knew and planned the attack is that they wanted a reason to go to war with Iraq. So the plan was that they would fly two planes into the World Trade Center and then blame the whole thing
September 11, 2001, millions of New Yorkers and American citizens woke up and started their day, unprepared and unaware for the catastrophic attack that would be taking place in just a few short hours. At 8:46 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower. The impact killed all of the passengers and crew as well as hundreds inside the building. At 9:03 a.m., a second plane, Flight 175, crashed into the corner of the South Tower killing passenger, crew, and workers who worked on floors seventy-five to eighty-three. Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m. killing approximately 185 individuals (History.com Staff). Because of the damaged to the support system, fires, and impact at extremely fast speed, the South Tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m. (Lipton and Glanz). Having heard about the acts of terrorism that had just taken place in New York and Washington, D.C., a group of passengers drove their plane, Flight 93, into a Pennsylvania field killing everyone on board but possibly saving hundreds of other lives in the process. The North Tower collapsed at 10:28 a.m. 102 minutes after being struck (History.com Staff). On September 11, 2001, almost twelve hundred people were wounded or killed by “coordinated suicide attempts” by Al Qaeda terrorists. In result to the four airplanes being hijacked and used for premediated reasons, the United States government instituted new regulations for entering the country and airport security as well as expounded on systems already in place.
