Micromax also sells data cards to service providers in India. On July 28, 2011, Micromax has withdrawn its 4.66 billion rupees (about $106 million) initial public offering (IPO) due to volatile market conditions. The withdrawal was recommended by its board to allow therefore company to focus on new product launches and product development. Currently Micromax has released 5 Android Smartphone devices in the market. Company is supposed to release kernel source for their Android Smartphone as Android uses Linux kernel which is covered under GPL (General Public License). But company has not released the kernel source code for any of their Android devices till date and is believed to violate the terms of GPL. Users of Micromax Android Series phone e.g. A60, A70, A73, A75 & A85 are continuously asking the company to release kernel source code.
