In the country, there are many controversial drugs approved by FDA every year, recently eteplirsen made by Sarepta Therapeutics under the brand name Exondys 51 has the effect of Duchenne muscular dystrophy The main argument was, it only tested on dozen volunteers, and the drug is cleared for 13% of affected participants. But, the most controversial drug from last few decade is Marijuana. Many states in the USA has approved it. According to the survey done by Gallup poll in 2013, 58% of the US people has supported legalisation of drug, whereas, the same survey was done in 1969, only 12% people felt this way. …show more content…

This formulation has very low level of psychoactive ingredients, so there are fewer side effects. Some scientist says that in future marijuana-based medication can be used to treat neuropathic pain, multiple sclerosis, and other conditions. Also, it's useful for generating revenue, some state government produces recreational marijuana to raise the fund. In contrast, there are common believes that marijuana is not addictive such as alcohol and heroin, but research and experiences show that the user will slowly develop addiction on it even after withdrawal. The symptoms of marijuana smoker seem as in a cocaine addict. The drug is the most commonly found in the system of drivers who are fatally injured. Dependency on the drug may lead to use more dangerous drugs in future. It has a high impact on brain especially parts connected to memory and learning. One study, declare that the person who is highly addicted to marijuana in teen years his IQ points will decrease by 8 between the age of 13 and 38. Finally, the legalization of marijuana will lead to highly smoking problems and increase serious health problems, whether it has a medical condition relief property.
