I chose the corner brook trail which goes through the Margaret Bowater Park, Glynmil pond which leads to the to the West Street of Corner Brook. Bright Sunny Days of the Corner Brook are the times I look the most forward to. On this day of mindful hiking, I was lucky enough to embrace the sunny day and the cool breeze of Newfoundland fall. I could feel the cool breeze on my cheek while walking and smell the fresh air. As I walked through the trail that led to the park, I observed the trees and the fact that most of their leaves changed color. The leaves exhibited different shades of yellow, orange, red, and brown making the forest look more beautiful and vibrant. A subtle scent of the fresh leaves was coming from the forest. I was very pleased to have met a hare since these are very rare moments and it reminds me of my pet rabbit, Pascal which I have left back in my home in Dhaka. Since the idea of this hike is to appreciate the current moment by embracing the state of mindfulness; it was necessary to come back from my thought of the rabbit and enjoy the present moment that I was in. As I reached closer to the Margaret Bowater Park, the first thing I heard was the sounds of the running water of the corner brook stream. The volume got higher as I arrived at Margaret Bowater Park. I did not stay in the park for long. The playground was empty and tranquil since all the children were probably in school during that time in the morning. I started walking through the trail again which leads to the Glynmill pond. On my way, I saw several people walking their pet dogs. Being a huge dog lover, I introduced myself to almost every dog I came across. This again acts as somewhat a distraction, where I am supposed to be noticing my surroundings and not being engaged only in one thing I kept on focusing on finding more dogs. I realized what my priority for this walk was and so I started walking through the trail again and I heard the little movement of the leaves due to the wind and the chirps of the birds and a squirrel. Even though I was wearing sunglass, the sun was very bright and I finally
The enchanted forest pulsed in, it’s ancient heartbeat, the deep, haunting song sweeping through the swaying leaves. The woody incense of thousands of leaves and branches matting the forest floor filled the air and dominated our nostrils. Soon, the branches will bend to the will of the whispering wind, allowing the sun to fill every nook and cranny with its the lustrous, golden light, illuminating the full grandeur of a forest that is steeped in plushness and opulence. But for now, the sprawling limbs of centuries-old trees still guarded the darkness, blotting out most of the gentle rays of dawn’s light.
It wasn't Stony Brook's fault, they said and did all the right things. The media finally hopped on board, there were articles, ESPN love, and radio appearances. As much as a team tries to control the outside noise, it's never as easy as it sounds.

Christopher Sly was born in West Cornwall, Connecticut. He lived in this extremely small town up to his sophomore year of college . He had a rough childhood, his dad was a drunk man who left when he was about twelve and his mother was a hard working waitress at the diner. Christopher had very good grades but always skipped classes. One day he was called down to the principal's office. The principal said, “ Kid you have a bright future but you won’t get anywhere if you don’t take the opportunities you are given, I’m offering you one last opportunity, I put in a word for you at the towns newspaper you haven’t got the job but I did get you an interview. I hope to hear great news”. He was a bright kid who had a bright future ahead him but it took

The Timucuan Preserve is a luscious green forest located on the northeast coast of Florida. Walking into the trails of the Timucuan, I hear the soothing sounds of birds chirping. I take a seat onto the bench next to the trail edge. Observing the runners pass by I can hear their fast foot steps on the soft earth. Time passes and a light breeze touches upon my skin. I have begun to notice the air as being slightly humid yet comfortable even without the light breeze.
I stopped for a moment to get out my flashlight and head lamp before it became pitch black. Light works differently in the woods. There is no light unless it is from the sun or the moon. There are no streetlamps or houses with a light on just, dark. It was absolutely frigid once the sun vanished behind the mountains. I was walking up the road that leads in to the camp. The first that hit me was the smell of rancor, The un-mistakable smell of water mixing with soil. The stream was running strong pushing clear all of the leaves that have drifted down from the trees. The stream was flowed like a small reviver collecting all the water from the rain. I set up my hammock just next to it in-between two towering scrub oak trees with squires flying between them and fell asleep to the sound of the trees talking and the streams
The sun peeked its face out on the Canadian wilderness. The light reflected beautifully off the snowy mountains. In fact, the whole wilderness here was covered in a blanket of snow. The snow was littered in fallen pine needles, pine cones, and the footprints of rabbits, wolves and deer. Branches of leafless trees were bending from the snow resting on them. Near one of the trees a bull moose was sharpening his antlers on the trunk, the sharp prongs easily piercing through the bark. When the moose got finished, it soon broke into a sprint when it caught an unfamiliar scent.

THUNK. I tripped on several tree roots throughout the path and realized I was out of my element. There wasn’t that much human activity there either, besides the whooshing sound of cars passing the road nearby or the lone blonde girl that sat along the path. Of course, I avoided talking to other people during my walk because that would ruin the time for self-contemplation. Though, I must admit that I was distracted all around by the tree stumps, beer bottles, spiders, gnats, and rocks on the path. But, despite seeing the red barns and

He emphasises on the presence of and an enveloping satisfaction through multi stimuli in nature; giving an example of a trek through a forest, and the feeling of being within the space of a clearing invoked by peripheral vision, complete with the crunching of leaves under the feet and sap smell that surrounds us through the trek.
At approximately eight thirty in the morning, I started on the trail. The temperature was warm and inviting. The skies were a clear blue and the sun glistened off the lake and it appeared silver. The beautiful sight of nature caused me to marvel and imagined how blessed I was to experience this and by the time I was half way through my walk I felt calmed. I continued my walk, unhurried and deeply inhaling to intentionally fill my lungs with fresh air. The walk left me feeling refreshed, energized and renewed.
As I left behind the somber forest, I now recognized an appreciation for nature that I did not realize I had. I now knew there was more to nature than just trees and animals, but also I found the
