Key highlights of the company in 2012: * L&T reported a revenue of Rs.62724.2 Crore. * L&T Group has 152 lines of business clubbed into 63 SBUs. * Engineering and Construction make up for 85 percent of its business. * 5 of 8 L&T executive directors were set to retire by the end of 2013.

4. RESTRUCTURING
Restructuring become one of the major buzzword in 1980's and 1990's, which means "getting lean and streamlined". One of the basic purpose of the organization to get restructured is to improve its managerial efficiency and efficacy, getting updated with new technologies and restoring International competitiveness.
