Per Reporter: Donna (James lawyer) contacted CPS 9/18/17 with concerns of physical abuse towards Preston. According to Donna, James (victim’s father) went to pick up Preston 9/16/17. During that time Denise told James that she hit Preston so hard in his face it made her hand hurt. There were no marks or bruising noticed. It is unknown of when the incident happened or what caused the incident. James was recently court ordered to receive unsupervised visitations. Kayla (victim’s mother) has supervised visitation with Preston. The allegations were not discussed with Denise.

My first memory that I have of Hotchkiss was the day that I was enrolled in kindergarden. It was the first time that I had seen the town since we had moved here from Texas. To a kid who had never seen anything other than endless acres of shrubs and mesquite trees, the towering mountains and greenery blew me away. For months I would spend all of my time after school exploring where I lived and biking around town with my friends. As the years have gone by this tiny town has still kept that certain magic that enthralled me as a kid, if only in a more reminiscent way rather than just pure wonder. However, the most important part of Hotchkiss to me is the effect that it had on who I am. From the day that I became a part of this lovely town, I have learned three major values that have played a key role in the decisions I’ve made. These values were hard work, community, and pride.

Mary Ann Dyehouse, 83, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Vonda Davis of Sardinia, and the late Arthur McGhehey, of Mt. Orab. However, a lack of employee morale and a decline in the quality of client product were the outcome. This gave Bedford the title “World’s Best Little Town” because of its happy-go-lucky attitude and the friendliness it had towards all regardless of the origin, religious or political affiliations. A small but lively town, Bedford survived through cultivation and several small-scale industries that were engaged in the processing of latex, pulp, silk and woolen products. The large proportion of the town 's populace dwelled in the o outskirts of the town. These families used their land for crop cultivation and rearing of animals. These inhabitants were mainly engaged in the few available industries. The town was also the center of commerce, administration as it hosted the local government and the information center since it had two newspaper companies: the Bedford Bulletin and the Bedford Democrat which providing local and abroad information (Bowman 65). Above all, Bedford outwardly was a small city but big in its heart.
