When I was ten years old, I was told I would need to undergo plastic surgery. I was terrified and immediately burst into tears. I didn’t become upset because I was scared, but rather I assumed that undergoing plastic surgery meant the doctor was going to cut a piece of my body out and replace it with plastic. I thought I was going to be part Barbie. I eventually came to terms with this senseless idea of mine only to learn plastic surgery was nothing like that. This is where my interest in becoming a physician began. Prior to this, I had not had much exposure to healthcare, but that all changed very quickly.
Dermatologist take care of people with problems relating to skin. They can prescribe medicine, perform surgery, and write treatment plans for a patient. Most dermatologist work in a group clinic. Working in a group clinic is very helpful because they share many of the same patients. It is a lot easier to communicate information about a patient when most of the doctors work in the same place. People aspiring to be a dermatologist need to be able to work long hours, be able to handle stress, emotionally stable, patient, and have problem solving skills.
With this rapidly changing industry the public has become increasingly unaware of the procedures that the specially trained persons are available to do in this day in age. The article starts out with an overview of the misconceptions and grows into the study itself. This survey was conducted in order to attempt to fill this gap in empirical evidence about the public perception of plastic surgery. The results found in this questionnaire revealed that many functions to create awareness for patient safety are being discussed and analyzed. First the general practitioners (GP’s) were most informed of this topic while a majority of them relate plastic surgeons with burns, congenital and cosmetic procedures yet were still unaware of many of the specialized procedures and subspecialties. Next highest in knowledge of plastic surgery were medical students as they had pretty much the same perception as GP’s but had more knowledge based on media as they are generally younger. Nursing students have the same media based knowledge of plastic surgery but are still in the dark when it comes to the role of plastic

A good question. , No, I had to be a general surgeon. For glory?
I selected Pat the plastic surgeon. I think that plastic surgeons make a lot of money, and the summary said that she was very devoted to her work. A con is that if she is too devoted to her work then she might not do anything else and just work all the time instead of doing other things like hobbies or things that would make someone happy in the real world.

Cosmetic surgery is ethical because it is a choice by an adult, in contrast to PGM. Though, in a life or death manner an infant or fetus is never given the choice, so why should PGM be any different. A child may be the fastest, best looking, smartest, and funniest person anyone knows because of their unfair advantage, but eventually, that “advantage” will cause harm to the one modified and society as a whole.
