Worth exercising even though there are risks? “Exercise is physical activity that is planned, structured, and repetitive forthe purpose of conditioning any part of the body. Exercise is used to improve health, maintain fitness and is important as a means of physicalrehabilitation.” (Exercise, 2009)

The price to buy a membership at a gym seems to be higher and higher for each year, and to live as a healthy person you have to work out regularly during your whole grown up lifetime, to benefit from the long term effects exercise brings. Media is not making it easier with models that have bodies that probably are unreachable for most “normal” people. But there is so much more to exercising then these goals. It cannot only boost your self-confidence, it can help you avoid certain diseases and improve your energy level in your everyday life. In today’s society there is a million options for when and where you could do a workout. It could be a simple walk around the block, high intensive workout at the gym or maybe a calming yoga session on the beach. The options are endless and I’m sure there is something for everyone. Life is not all about weight loss, let’s look at it from a new perspective were calorie burning isn’t that important but how big effect it actually has not only on the body but also the mind. Use it as a inspiration or good old-fashioned competition, nobody wants to let the other person down and you help push each other through ever workout, it doesn’t matter who are having the toughest time. In fact, being part of a group is so powerful that it can change athletes perspective/tolerance level of pain.
