Count Dominic Sinclair the Third was the name that he was going by in the court these days, letting people think that he was his own grandson so that he could of course continue to enjoy the title and the positions that he was often appointed too.
A hundred years ago he had been gifted the title of course along with some lands and a great deal of wealth by the King when he had returned as the only survivor of a battle that he had won for the kingdom.
Sixty years later he spent three decades as the assassin of the king who followed, ensuring that his political enemies were removed from any position they could be a threat at the point of a blade or with a cord around their neck.
Now he had returned thirty years later, this time to work

Something had reached out to him, a old and forgotten god that had long been discarded by humanity, its final temple had once stood in that very field but eventually had broken down by the elements. Ma'al offered Dominic a chance to survive, not only to just live but to thrive for eternity so long as he was willing to give it what it desired... Dominic was a talented killer and the god wanted someone who would kill for him, so long as Dominic did this he would not only live but he would thrive with the blessings of a god. He limped home over the course of several weeks, killing as he went, regaining his strength, until he eventually stood in the court and was offered rewards for his hard work.
A little less then a month he had been employed to teach the young prince how to defend himself with sword, spear, and anything else he might have close at hand should something go wrong. Of course he wasn't just here to serve as a weapons master to the heir... he wanted to kill a member of the royal family. For over a hundred years he had served them and now he grew tired of murdering peasants, whores, and minor members of the court... he wanted to kill the prince but he wanted the prince the be able to defend himself so it will at least be

The Life of Charlemagne is an edited version from the original book Two Lives of Charlemagne. The author of the original biography is Einhard, who was his close friend and younger contemporary. He wrote this biography, after his death in 814 CE to honor Charlemagne and his contributions to the Frankish dynasty. In the historical context Charlemagne is believed to have contributed largely in flourishing the Carolingian Empire. In the book, The Life of Charlemagne, Einhard describes Charlemagne’s personal life rather than the actual historical legacies. The biography seems to have many personal bias opinions which makes the source hard to trust. One example from the text itself is when he describes King Charlemagne’s physical appearance, “His neck was short and rather thick, and his stomach a trifle too heavy, but the proportions of the rest of the body prevented from noticing these blemishes (Brophy, 250).” Even Though, the author describes the king with great details, he is positive throughout each text and avoids giving any flawed comments.
As you may or may not have noticed, we have a major problem with poverty in the Irish Community. Women have begun begging on the streets. Many of them have multiple children but are unable to take care of them due to the lack of jobs for women. Starving to death, these children need to become more beneficial to our community. During this current time, these children are not getting the nutrients they need to live a heathy productive life. This can go on no longer, something needs to be done. The brilliant Mr. Swift has a simple solution to this compelling problem; eating children. Yes, you read this proposal correctly. A friend in London just informed him that children who are well nourished are quite delicious

On January 1st of 1649, the Rump Parliament of England passed a mandate for the trial of King Charles I to which he would be charged with “subverting the fundamental laws and liberties of the nation while maliciously making war on the parliament and people of England.” After years of civil war and various failures in fulfilling kingly duties, Charles faced a trial against a strategically assembled English court that would choose his fate. This stands out in history as one of the most noteworthy and dramatic events in early modern England- a domestic political crisis unlike anything that had ever been seen before. Over the years historians have debated in how they characterize the king’s trial and its end result, referring to the execution as “a crime of the worst magnitude, a regrettable necessity, or a laudable challenge to either an individual ruler or the entire political system.” Due to the overall disapproval of the trial by prominent individuals, biased personnel assembled in the court, questionable legal legitimacy, improper court proceedings and unfortunate socio-economic circumstances during his reign, it can be concluded that King Charles I did not receive a fair trial.
We are Stargazing in 35mm, a Seattle area genre-fluid space rock band. Our sound is very diverse, and we can alter our set list to fit well with almost any band. We are still new to the music scene, but we drew about 40 people at the Northwest Folklife Festival and about the same amount at our album release party. We have played at auctions, farmers markets, graduations, battle of the bands and some small local venues. We would be very interested in opening for local or passing though bands.
The Golden Age of Greece known as Classical Greece was the peak of Greek civilization. History recalls that this period consisted of inventions, innovations, and many great minds all alive during the same time. These great men influenced western civilization and without them there would be no western civilization to exist. One of these great minds was Plato, a man who was responsible for laying down the foundations for philosophy. The philosophical question he sought answers for are still being debated today.
When people think of a successful king, they often associate them with the hero. However, many fail to notice that no one could own both the title king and the hero at the same time; they need to give up either one of the titles to become a truly successful hero or king. In the famous epic poem, Beowulf, despite Hrothgar rules Danes, another hero, Beowulf, shows up to solve Danes’ problem while the true Danes king sits on his throne and simply gives all honor and credit to Beowulf. To become a truly successful leader, one must know to put down his honor and fame for his people’s safety. Furthermore, a ruler who cares about his people in every aspect fits the title king, not a person who goes off on a quest to defeat the villain for his own
