These two articles are talking about the importance of creative play and organized activities for children. According to the sencond article, the expert Janet Collines believes that organized activities can help children develop healthy attitudes toward themselves now and when they grow up; I believe that children would benefit a lot from organized activities such as helping them grow into responsible adults, and developing a strong sense of identity and pride.
Based on the second article, organized activities would help children become responsible adults. Children who involved in a program should be on time, learning teamwork, and accomplish a goal. These skills are crucial for children when they grew up especially in their work places. It
“Play is a process that is freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated. Children and young people determine and control the content and intent of their play by following their instincts, ideas and interests in their own way and for their own reasons. The child chooses when and how to play and this is seen as a biological drive, essential to health and well-being.”
I believe it is more important to ensure that childern partocopate in organized activities. some of the reasons i feel this way are, it makes them responsible, helps them find out who they are, and it helps them become more social.
I William Cherry agree with the Benefits of Organized Activities. There are two reasons why I agree with Organized Activities more then Creative Play. One reason is because if you don't let your kids do Scout meetings, sports, or music lessons then they're going to be inside kids and will never want to go outside. Another good reason is because if your kid is always creative playing by themselves then they will never get outside and learn social skills.
Organizations of daily life consists of the activities individuals partake in on a daily – even weekly, monthly, etc. – basis. A child’s daily routine is largely routine, often doing the same things day in and day out. The way a child’s daily routine is scheduled impacts how that child will live the rest of his/her life in a significant manner. For example, Lareau claims that Alexander Williams, the first child discussed in Invisible Inequality, “feels disoriented when his schedule is not full” because his mother signs him up for so many activities. The specific activities children participate in also provide a various range of benefits important for one’s development. Take, for instance, Alexander’s activities: piano, guitar, soccer, baseball, etc. The typically individual activities – piano, guitar – allow Alexander to experience individuality. The typically team sports – soccer, baseball – grant Alexander an opportunity to learn how to be competitive, accept defeat, and how to be a team player.
In the passage "The Benefits of Organized Activites". It mentions how programs can help improve a child's healthy attitude, thinking, and social skills. In my past expericence, I was in a program for a church i uest to attend at, and every day my friends and i would always learn and do new things in that program. For instance, we played group sports that taught us how to work as a team, we had projects to make with a partner that taught us to be creative and also a team player.
Orginized activities will tearch them the value of being on time, work in team work, and acomplish goals and be proud of the goals they achive. all of this will make them resposables and consious adults in the future.
Participating in different activities also teaches children to participate and develope good habits that could be used to better their futures. Also having parents participate in organized activities with their child is a good way to keep them motivated, it also helps create a lasting bond between the children and parents. Being involved in a program
Today, Many believe that children should be more focused on creative play other than, organized activities or vise versa. Playing with a more creative play out look gives the child or children confort to express themselves, interact with peers, and become independent thinkers. When on the other hand, some believe more organized activites are better with children bceause, it helps with children developing healthy attitudes towards them selves now and in the future.Along with the many diffrent programs a child can still attend and have fun doing while learning resposiblity.
and activities that meet the needs of the children and by giving them freedom to
There is much discussion about is creative play better than organized play. Some people beleave that organized activities is better for kids. I beleave that creative play is better, because kids will use there imaginations, and think more. The first reason i beleave creative play is better is because they will use there minds more.
On the other hand those that agree that a child's play should be regulated, say organized activities help children develop healthy attitudes toward themselves now and in the future. Another point they make is being involved in a program requires commitment.
Children are like sponges who soak in all the information around them. They are also creative beings with imaginations. Should children have free creative play time? Should they participate in Organized Activites? Yes and Yes; I belive both are necessary for proper development.
Children develop normally when they are exposed to different types of play that allow them to express themselves while using their imaginations and being physically active. According to the Center for Health Education, Training and Nutrition Awareness, “Play is child’s work”; this is true because it is a child’s job is to learn and develop in their first few years of life, in order for them to do this, they play (CHETNA). Not only is playing a child’s full time job, the United Nations High Commission for Human Rights listed play as a right of every child (Ginsburg). Through their full time job of play, the children develop emotionally, socially, physically, and creatively. Children need to participate in child-led play in order to
Playing is one of the many things a child needs in their everyday life, it is vital in enhancing and developing a child’s motor, creative, and problem solving skills.
