The setting is a quiet little mountain town run by friendly, all be it, wealthy native americans. A quaint little gambling hall, or casino, was the place where our story takes place. A young man, lets call him, Guy, is a bright-eyed, ambitious reporter, who has his sights set on one day having his own bowling or woodworking advice column. It was a normal Thursday evening, and Guy entered the building where dreams are reached, and love and friendship is bloomed - the bowling alley at black oak casino. Guy was excited to take pictures of the world class bowlers who grace the world with their presence. Guy was hoping to perhaps snap the perfect photo of one of those all-american athletes and perhaps could later get the photo signed, so he could hang it above his mantle. …show more content…
As the All-League bowlers made their way into the "arena" it was as if Walter Ray WIlliams, Pete Weber, or the Hall of Famer Tommy Tuttle (yes those are real bowlers...look it up) walked into the room. Greatness was all around. While Guy was excited to see the best the bowling world has to offer, he decided to take photos of less important people who were there bowling for leisure and no the thrill of competition. Guy had to use a flash on his camera to capture the amature bowlers who were more interested in enjoying time with friends and family rather than working on their 7-10 split. (those people don't deserve to live). The flash from the camera upset the mighty bowlers and Guy was told not to take any more photos. His feelings were hurt, and his dreams were crushed. How could he get the perfect shot of the perfect
That summer, Simpson’s father, Phil, who was a great athlete in his own right, called and asked me if I could take him to the Five Star Basketball camp in Pittsburgh. Every July I would take several of the top players in our area to Five Star, an invitation only camp that featured many of the best high school players in the country. I told Phil that I did not think he would get in because the camp’s youngest players were rising sophomores and Greg was only entering his freshman year. I gave him an application and told him to give it a try but not to be disappointed

The forest had gone.... and the Witch looked much younger. Audette opened her eyes and had found herself upon a brow of white lilies. The shape of the shrouded old woman seemed changed. I threw a wicked Curveball that looked exactly like Clayton Kershaw's. I was ready to play, but guess who wasn’t Tyler. Tyler came back from BP early and talked to his dad about how much he hates the bat. “Dad this bat is the worst money you every spent on something” Tyler said. “ That bat was five hundred dollars, I told you it is not the bat it's the guy swinging it and you didn’t believe me” Coach explained. “Well than coach Wildrick isn’t throwing the ball right because I can’t hit it” Tyler said. Tyler ran back to the outfield and went right into the batting cage. I saw what he was doing wrong but I didn’t want to tell him,he doesn’t even let us touch his

Then, when Ray and Annie were talking about money, Karin came in the room and said there was a man standing on Ray’s field, and it was Shoeless Joe Jackson. After that, Shoeless Joe Jackson invited the rest of his team to play, but there was one problem, only Ray, Annie, and Karin can see the dead baseball players.
Sunshine was pouring out from in between the buildings, casting shadows all around Ponyboy and the gang as they walked to Pony’s school. They were taking their time walking down the streets and for the first time they all were really seeing what was all around them. Memories were surfacing in their minds showing them what it all meant to them. With every step they took on the sidewalk they remembered a different memory as if they were walking down memory lane. Ponyboy didn’t think it was possible for him to be walking down this street for the last time as a high school student, but he had gone through the years with great grades that earned him many scholarships.
After John harnessed the team to the wagon, he, Charity, and Charles loaded Uriah into it. She and Charles then headed to town with him. She left John and Martha Jane to watch over the younger children, with strict orders that they had all better be on their best behavior until her return. John was nearly twelve; she figured he ought to be capable of watching the little ones.
It was unclear what exactly woke up the small elf, maybe the unfamiliar sounds of horse hooves against the ground, maybe the bright sunlight shining through the sparse forest, maybe the motions of the carriage from the uneven terrain, or some divine forsaken mixture of the three. When she attempted raising her arms to shield her eyes from the harsh light, she discovered that they had been bound together, and rather tightly at that. 'Great,' she thought to herself.
Drenched and frozen, only the warmth from their mothers’ kept the young creatures sustained. The trees’ limbs hung low from the weight of the swampy atmosphere; causing the joyous ambience of the forest to restrain her passion.
After saying goodnight to Simon and Magnus, Clary quickly shut the door to the library. Magnus had conjured up a portal which would take him and Simon back to the village where they lived. Simon lived in a simple but modest house, on the outskirts of town, on a farm with his Mother and older sister. Magnus however, resided in a small, comfortable loft just above the local clothing store.

“I don’t think you should support the death penalty to seek revenge. I don’t think that’s right. I think the reason to support the death penalty is because it saves other people’s lives” (Bush). Capital punishment is one of the most controversial topics in the American society and is also one of the topics most people feel very emotional about. Everyone feels that their views are correct because there are many pros and cons to either side. Although some people believe the risk of executing the innocent is too great, the use of capital punishment has greatly impacted our society in a positive way because of its deterring
