"Wake up, partners," the trail boss, James called. I sleepily looked up , shivered, and saw I was the only one not up. "Here," James said, giving me the horses' bridles and saddles. "Take these and get the horses ready. We have a long day today." I groaned in reply and set up the horses for the day's long drag. I was the horse wrangler and this was my everyday job but I still couldn't get use to the idea of waking up before the sun and working. We drove the cattle into open plains against the winter's cold wrath. "Almost done for today, boys," the point man, Joe said. Then we came to this huge frozen river. James tested it and gave it an all clear with the hat signal. We slowly pushed past the ice. We were crossing it
Which was the reason why I hated Eros. I hated that I loved him. I hated that his one glance on me could lift up my mood instantly. For the last six years, ever since Mom and I moved to New York, I have been madly in love with the most unreachable guy in our school.
“Some people say I was lucky to survive, other will say I deserved it for the choice I made. I’m here to say I was lucky, it’s never ok to say your life isn’t worth living even at your worst you can always look forward tomorrow will come and if you put your mind to it you’ll see that anything is possible.” – Stephen McGregor Professional Paralympian
The drive home was difficult; his vision swam and his muscles felt stiff and achy. Too bright city lights glared at him, pierced his eyes. His head throbbed, beat, beat, beat, in rhythm with his racing heart. Nausea rocked in his stomach and every noise seemed amplified. Why were these damn people driving so slowly? He needed to get home; he was already late as it was, and his father wouldn't be pleased. Leaving the glowing city behind him, Aiden found slight relief in the peaceful country roads and sharp peppermint smelling pines that surrounded his home, if you could call it that.
I comfortably drive my car into the desolate street, Perusing the deserted buildings, Smashes windows and rusted For Sale signs. The car locked up like Fort Knox. I observe the street for trouble. Two young boys look at me from afar as if I'm an alien. Do I stand out that much same greasy hair, expensive clothes, a smart car I suppose I am out of my comfort zone? “Mister, you don’t belong here” his hand gripped his switch. “Pony.... Ponyboy Curtis” I stammer “I live here or at least I did, I'm here to see two-bit’ The Boys turn around “geez his old now” the boy's chirp. The boys stroll away in awe that they saw the great Ponyboy.
“After defeating the Cyclops Polyphemus, my men grew exhausted. They grew thirsty from rowing under the beating hot sun. Sweat dripped down their heads and the ship’s deck grew moist from the mix of the salty, seawater and sweat. We stopped by on a nearby island.
“Yes I am dad.” Kevin screaming at the top of his lungs,” Mr.Cromwell needs to go!” While Howie and Kevin argued ,Cromwell was over there eating Kevin’s breakfast, waffles. Everyone has judged someone before they get to know them, sometimes you can even do it on accident. My personal experience in judging someone before getting to know them was when I meet my step-brother Carson for the first time. When I first met Carson I was about 6 years old and he was around 10 years old. I was at his house in Florida that I had never been to before, so I was scared already, so when I went upstairs to grab something from my bag I saw him for the first time, he was coming around the corner really fast and was wasn’t paying attention and ran right into me. The first thoughts that came to mind was that he was big and scary and he just hurt me. But after I got to know him I realized he wasn’t really scary at all, it was just
Good. I touch the icon and drag it. Oh, it’s following my finger’s movement. Alright, let’s see… I drag it to the slot that indicates my right hand. Immediately, the bokutõ shows up on my hand with a quick white light.
Sound and smell crowded Julios' mind, pure ecstasy mixed with the over stimulation of thumping music and free flowing drugs pushed his pupils wide and his pores open, his brow furrowed and his mouth clenched into a dumb grin. With each bass filled kick of the music and flash of the cyan lights his eyes flicked left to right, his ocular nerves flaring with excitement at the melting colors and waving sound that he was immersed in. The pleasing form of a woman half his age moving along with the music, her outline dragging behind her motion leaving a line of rainbow outlines, each one like a frame of a movie.
“Anything that can help us find out who did this.” I said, examining the crime scene. I walked towards what used to be the glass case that held the crown, but was now a useless, shattered cube.
The sun was about to rise, but it was still dark outside in the city of Crete. A tall muscular man with chestnut brown hair and eyes that shifted between an emerald green and an electric blue was getting ready for the upcoming race by running laps around the city. His name was Grigolo and he claimed to be the fastest runner on the planet. Grigolo got out of his bed quite loudly and his wife stirred in her sleep groggily asking,
“John you know that using actual print will not give us the audience we seek”.
As the winds wisp through the willowy woods on one warm November nighttime, our worrisome subject eyes a wooden orifice far into the night. The crunch of leaves and pinestraw accompany his stroll through the midnight Mississippi forest. Spanish moss waves through the wind as Deacon, or as he is affectionately known by his friends as Deac, moves ever so closer to this new object. It is the source of his visit to this mundane backwood land that appears otherworldly to Deac. A cabin in the woods is where Deacon is making his trek to, to visit his girlfriend’s family. “They could’ve told me that I couldn’t drive to the cabin,” Deacon mumbled to himself as he battles the brisk, hard blast of the breeze in the barren woodland. Deacon reaches the door of the
The horse was running and would not stop the tiger was right behind the horse and let out a giant roar. The lion started to claw at my tail and the tiger came off, he was loose now and the horse came crashing down. Quickly the horse got back up and started to run, the tiger right behind him and was gaining distance. The tiger leaped onto the horse and started to claw him.
Two years later, the clan made him a representative to the tribe’s council. He struggled at first, but was able to manage to ask another tribe to send big horns to supplement lack of farming land. Tung’s fame grew and when it came time for the auditions to become the bodyguards of Princess Talitha, The Big Wolf tribe nominated him to be part of the delegation.
