He couldn't help thinking that she was utterly right to lose faith in him. As she progressed further down the long, beaten trail away from him, he compared it to the ever-growing gap forming in their relationship. He didn't want it to be like this, and to prove it, he turned and hastily ran unnoticed back in the opposite direction, back to Treasure Town, for he had forgotten something very important.
