Creative Writing: My First Korean War

Overview: On the night of July 4th 2026, the unthinkable happened. The North crossed over the border to the South, and the war among the Koreans has begun. The second the North crossed over the border all hands were on deck. Here in Allendale, California the news struck hard, in the military barracks all had become havoc, for the worst that was imagined had begun.
July 28th 2026: The Koreans had started to bomb. At first they started just dropping atomic bombs into South Korea, but now they are spreading to Europe. What once had been London is now a waste land. Luckily for me I get to stay here in Allendale watching the radar, watching for any sight of movement, watching for when the Koreans decide to come here, here to the United States.

A noise of someone or something talking. It must've been my mind playing tricks on me. It sounded as if the house said "Tick-tock, seven o'clock, time to get up, time to get up, seven o'clock". At first I thought I was going crazy, I thought I was hearing things. That was before I got a whiff of the wonderful smell, the wonderful smell of eggs, toast, and bacon. After I got the whiff of the bacon I started to search the house, I finally found it. The smell of bacon and eggs and toast was coming from the kitchen. I don’t know how the house did it but the house had created its own breakfast. I wanted to eat the bacon so badly; I just wanted to stuff my face. But I couldn’t, the bacon and eggs and toast were all behind the kitchen door. I tried and tried and tried to open the door but it wouldn’t budge. Throughout the course of the day the house spoke to me a couple more times, it was weird, but also comforting in the same way. At 10 o'clock the one thing I feared the most occurred. A massive wind storm came through and knocked a tree onto the house. The one place I found where I felt safe, and where I had a feeling of comfort is now being destroyed. The tree falling on the house caused the house to become engulfed with flames. The house tried to fight the fire but it just couldn’t combat the flames. I walked and walked and walked, at last I heard a voice. I followed the voice trying to find people, food, or shelter. But all I found was a camp set up by the Koreans. I tried to run, I tried to hide, but it was too late, they had seen me.
