Chapter two Bye-bye. Jacy thought, guess I’ll see you around old house. I grabbed the last box from the house and left out the door dropping the keys off with the landlord who was standing outside of our door. I hustled to the moving truck, dropping off the box and shutting the back doors. As my mom and I left the driveway I waved out the window to lucy- the landlord who has been our landlord since I was born. (14 years ago)- and I turned around, placing my headphones on my head. My mom (who was driving) rolled her eyes.
“All teenagers do is listen to their music,” she said thinking I couldn’t hear her.
“Actually, I am listening to a book, thank you very much,” I stated as I took off my head phones. I think I scared my mom. We giggled. I

But before I could be even a little bit relieved, the door knob started to turn. Making screeching noises as it turned ever so slightly. It was moving slower than molasses. As if it had all the time in the world. As if it could read my mind, it started moving faster. Then it stopped and the door popped open and a figure jumped out at me, Whispering “creutzfeldt” in my ear. It had a raspy, low, voice. But before I could see what it looked like, I woke up.
“A-A-A!” I screamed while throwing my head phones off, “what just happened?”
“Oh my gosh jacy are you okay?” My mom said while swerving on the road a little. I must have scared her.
“Oh it’s nothing mom, just a bad dream.”
Something that weird hasn’t happened since last year when that box full of glitter gave me “powers”. I thought.
When we arrived at our new house we unpacked all of our things from the moving truck and into the house.
“I’m going to go check out the upstairs, okay?” I said already half way up the stairs.
“Alright, I’m going to go move the truck out of the road,” my mom told me from the door. I darted up the other half of the stairs skipping a few. The first thing I noticed was the master bedroom. It had a huge bed area with a gigantic bathroom, balcony, even a wlk in closet that you could litterally walk in, it was about 50 ft deep and 20 ft wide. It even had a mini hall way that led into a smaller room. I think it was a little sitting area. After I checked out the guest bedroom I went
“Ugh!” I screamed, “We have plenty of time, slow down. Please!” My mom said, “Okay, okay, but don’t blame me when you’re late.” We both got in the car and she drove off. I think my mom could tell I wasn’t that excited.
-” Come, I need to show you something!”-she yelled to make sure I heard her.
“Mom, this is actually happening!” I sang with enthusiasm, as mom came to investigate what I was up
"Wake up, partners," the trail boss, James called. I sleepily looked up , shivered, and saw I was the only one not up. "Here," James said, giving me the horses' bridles and saddles. "Take these and get the horses ready. We have a long day today." I groaned in reply and set up the horses for the day's long drag. I was the horse wrangler and this was my everyday job but I still couldn't get use to the idea of waking up before the sun and working. We drove the cattle into open plains against the winter's cold wrath.
After saying goodnight to Simon and Magnus, Clary quickly shut the door to the library. The hallway was silent and still as the ocean tide, she had heard Lilian call for her just as her best friends in the world told her their goodbyes for the night. Magnus had conjured up a portal which would take him and Simon back to the village where they lived. Simon lived in a simple but modest house, on the outskirts of town, on a farm with his Mother and older sister. Magnus however, resided in a small, comfortable loft just above the local clothing store.
We snuck downstairs and out the back window. We had two neighborhoods to go through.
After John harnessed the team to the wagon, he, Charity, and Charles loaded Uriah into it. She and Charles then headed to town with him. She left John and Martha Jane to watch over the younger children, with strict orders that they had all better be on their best behavior until her return. John was nearly twelve; she figured he ought to be capable of watching the little ones.
Drenched and frozen, only the warmth from their mothers’ kept the young creatures sustained. The trees’ limbs hung low from the weight of the swampy atmosphere; causing the joyous ambience of the forest to restrain her passion.
One night my mom said, “Miranda come down here I have something to tell you!”
"Have a good day, make sure you head over to Vice Principal Luna so you can get your schedule. I'll be here at three." Mom told me as I gather my book bag and climbed out of our mini van. I waved at her and she drove off. I coughed out the exhaust fumes. Never had I once seen that woman drive like that before. Guessed she really wanted me out of the house for once.
Sue froze where she stood, frozen for what must have felt like hours. “You mean, he waited all of this time to paint his masterpiece and not only did he paint it for me but – he used his life to paint it.” Sue was overwhelmed at the thought, she was the reason Mr. Behrman had gone out that night, she was the reason he had passed away. “I caused his demise, my own selfishness did this!” Sue cried. Johnsy quickly took hold of Sue’s hands and said to her: “No darling, you did just the opposite, you showed Mr. Behrman what he had been looking for, for these years. You inspired his masterpiece!” Understanding then that Mr. Behrman’s sacrifice for her, was no sacrifice at all, his dream had been fulfilled and he had continued his journey. At that
“Anything that can help us find out who did this.” I said, examining the crime scene. I walked towards what used to be the glass case that held the crown, but was now a useless, shattered cube.
"Sometimes you gotta let something bad happen, or else you wont know how to fix things when they go wrong later."
“AAH, I must have overslept!” The Hero rushed towards the window, and he saw that Monster Zero must have been busy for at least a few hours. He gathered all his weapons, and ran towards Monster Zero, somewhere where he could not be seen. “Alright, all monsters have a weak point, so where could it be……..aha! Monster Zero’s neck isn’t covered by any scales, so I must attack there!”
“ You guys get off the car now!” Itzel's mom told us trying not to sound scared. We put on our sweaters and scarfs.
