We then hopped back on our bikes and took the short ride over to Maybelle’s Diner which overlooked the village square. Once inside, a pretty waitress not much older than me walked up to us in her pink and white striped uniform, straight out of the 1950’s. She handed us a couple of menus while telling us her name and asking what we would like to drink. I had asked for a sweet tea, and my mama got a diet Coke (Pepsi). Then, the waitress walked off leaving us there to study our menus even though I had already known just what it was I wanted to have, chicken wings. I had always heard my whole life that if you should ever find yourself up near the Buffalo area, you had to try the wings. So, I reckoned Mt. Harrison was about as close to Buffalo

Equality, where are you on that grand scale between 10 and 90% and who will be your voice to equate? Bernie Sanders was born September 8th, 1974 in Brooklyn New York City, NY. Sanders, indisputably has the most unusual history of anyone in the U.S. Congress. He is the longest serving independent in U.S. congressional history and the only candidate who is not working with Super P.A.C 's having decided on primarily soliciting small private contributions. He became U.S senator of Vermont in 2006 and was reelected by capturing almost 71% of the popular vote. Bernie Sanders is a viable candidate with an ethical appeal who speaks to the populist, a candidate with a logical appeal who is most known as a progressive voice on political issues such as universal health care, civil rights, and income inequality. Above all, Sanders is a man with an emotional appeal who speaks of the Democratic values that everyday American 's care about regardless of their political affiliation. Throughout his career he has focused on the diminution of the American middle class and the expanding income and wealth gaps in the United States.
It’s not just the games played in front of thousands of hostile fans, but the travel for a mid-major with long bus rides and airport layovers takes its toll too.
Back in the main level of the factory, Wolf and Fox find Hawk lying on the ground, pale and unresponsive, his bulletproof vest next to him and the edges of a red stain showing around a wad of gauze. A soldier that Fox assumes is N-Unit's medic kneels next to him, along with Snake and Coyote. The three medics are talking frantically among themselves. The rest of N-Unit hovers nervously nearby; the rest of H-Unit is nowhere to be seen. Dust particles dance through the beams of sunlight from the holes where windows used to be, giving the whole scene a strangely dreamy air.
Everyone has judged someone before they get to know them, sometimes you can even do it on accident. My personal experience in judging someone before getting to know them was when I meet my step-brother Carson for the first time. When I first met Carson I was about 6 years old and he was around 10 years old. I was at his house in Florida that I had never been to before, so I was scared already, so when I went upstairs to grab something from my bag I saw him for the first time, he was coming around the corner really fast and was wasn’t paying attention and ran right into me. The first thoughts that came to mind was that he was big and scary and he just hurt me. But after I got to know him I realized he wasn’t really scary at all, it was just
We just got to beautiful Whitman Mission, wait well, I thought beautiful. There are a lot of burned down buildings here and I thought that is was our final stretch to load ourselves on supplies, but there is nothing here besides one family and burned down buildings. My wagon train and I go to talk to them and we find out that the, Cayuse tribe of Indians and burnt down all the buildings and raided everyone, they came right on the day that it was happening and they also had planned on getting supplies they were completely out and still are, they have been starving there for a little over 3 days so my wagon train and I had felt really bad and gave them some supplies. We felt bad for them, but it was a huge mistake to do that now because everyone.
The great unknown, in the savage west Life is oldest in the Westward states, older than the Redwoods Royal ridged mountains with crispy fresh springs New kindled fires growing day by day But new youngins are growing like a fury breeze Wild horses, straying across the blue enriched waters The well-balanced Mountain goats hanging on by a thread And other untouched creatures running and striving for survival The dusty, and scorching heat sneaking across the baking desert
Right in her own backyard, Everest finds a map in the forest. She runs back inside to inform Lio of her discoveries. They both follow the map through the forest. The map leads them to a very dark place in the woods. They look around with flashlights and then they hear a buzzing noise. There is a fairy. Her name is Dream. Dream spots Everest and Lio. They say, “Oh wow, who are you?” She responds, “I’m Dream the fairy.” Everest and Lio are slightly frightened. After a while, they get used to Dream and agree to learn about Dream and her world. She is a fairy who was sent out to retrieve the map that Everest and Lio had. She decides that she might as well take Lio and Everest to her world since they were so fascinated. Dream leads them to a
Overall, Imperialism has been more helpful than damaging to the world. There are numberless different ways Imperialism was an advantage to the world. New forms and ways of transportation were found and invented. The spread of technology was due to the age of Imperialism. The spread of democracy is another very important point that came out of the age Imperialism.
“There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.” Born and raised in a box where everyone knows everyone means that there’s always “go to” places. As we grow out of cleats and place dolls in the attic, the giant wooden obstacles that you know every nook and cranny too are now just tired playgrounds filled with new children left to discover those hidden spots. The man made lakes that left the smell of sweet summer and chlorine lingering in your hair and skin are now rain puddles. Places from childhood form who we are and create everlasting friendships but over time, as the leaves change in the seasons so can we.
I can feel the warm breeze push against my face as I am travelling up the mountain. I can feel the sweat dripping down my face. A mountain lion roars in the distance. Trees become scarce as I continue up to the summit. I can smell the sweatiness of myself and the other backpackers as we scramble up the boulders. The dry air is tickling my taste buds, as oxygen becomes more difficult to obtain.
As I hack away at chest high buckthorn I glance into the distance to locate the opening I've been waiting for. Finally, I have forced my way through the dense brush and onto a ridge above the glistening waters of the Bighorn River. The glare of lethargically moving water stuns my eyes as I cautiously make my way down the bank and splash my face with a handful of water. While maneuvering myself across the river I struggle to stay on my feet. I push forward and locate a flat and clear area ideal for my campsite. I reach a relaxing stop underneath a willow tree to provide pleasing shade during these hot Montana months. The sun's slowly starts to disappear over the distance mountains as my eyes gaze into the majestic star filled Montana night
"Wake up, partners," the trail boss, James called. I sleepily looked up , shivered, and saw I was the only one not up. "Here," James said, giving me the horses' bridles and saddles. "Take these and get the horses ready. We have a long day today." I groaned in reply and set up the horses for the day's long drag. I was the horse wrangler and this was my everyday job but I still couldn't get use to the idea of waking up before the sun and working. We drove the cattle into open plains against the winter's cold wrath.
When one begins to formulate thoughts on the most influential philosopher of all time, how does one stop and gather every thought into one paper. The historical significance of Plato has impacted generations for more than two thousand years. In fact, his writings, which consisted of mostly dialogues, has probably had more influence than any set of writings in the Western World apart from the Judeo-Christian Bible. As I dug into the life of Plato, which can be an endless search with overwhelming amount of information, his lasting ideas can be summed up in his allegory of the cave and theory of the tripartite soul.
