Samantha could hear the massive vault door closing behind her, and she knew that no one, not even herself, would be getting back in there anytime soon. Exhaling shakily, Sam continued down the rocky tunnel, heading forwards and towards the rickety wooden door. Sunlight poured through the panels.
Carefully, she pushed the door open, ducking through the opening and shielding her eyes as she was finally exposed to the elements of the outside world. The sun's blinding light beat down on her, and even though it wasn't that hot, she shivered against it. It was a huge change--not necessarily a bad or good one--from the fluorescent lighting they used in Vault 101.
Immediately, Sam looked down at her Pip-Boy, switching to the map tab in order to get

She looked around to make sure she was relatively safe and began playing the holotape she'd taken from Jonas's desk. She had taken his glasses, as well, and they were stowed in a pocket of her vault suit.
"I don't really know how to tell you this. I hope you'll understand, but I know you might be angry," James's voice came out of the Pip-Boy, and Samantha resumed walking as she listened to it. The wasteland was almost completely silent, and it was easy to hear his voice, just like he was right with her.
"I thought about it for a long time, but in the end I decided it was best for you not to know. So many things could have gone wrong, and there's really no telling how the Overseer will react when he finds out. It's best if he can blame everything on me."
Sam scoffed, despite the dire situation. He really hadn't known what his actions would do to her, or the rest of Vault 101. "I had to kill people," Samantha muttered to herself as his talking went on, looking at her moving feet.
"Obviously, you already know that I'm gone. It was something I needed to do. You're an adult now. You're ready to be on your own. Maybe some day, things will change and we can see each other again. I can't tell you why I left or where I'm going. I don't want you to follow

A few yards away from them was a man in rags with a bright red face and scraggly hair. She also spotted giant red (and dead) ants, but they didn't surprise her too much. There had been photos of them, and Megaton, when she had looked through the Overseer's terminal.
"Is this Megaton?" Sam asked loudly, unsure of whether she should be talking to the robot or the man, not wanting to get close to either of them.
The man suddenly coughed violently, looking up at her meekly. "Yes... Megaton, just inside... please, do you have any water?"
Samantha bit her lip, feeling a twinge of guilt and surprise. She hadn't brought anything to eat or drink with her, and from the looks of it, everything out there was dirty. She only hoped that there'd be something inside the town--something edible and non-irradiated, at least. "No, I'm sorry..." she trailed off, trying to get away from the man as soon as possible. What if he had something contagious?
"Howdy, partner! Welcome to Megaton! Head on in!" A robotic voice parted the silence, and Sam turned to it. A man that Samantha hadn't noticed before, standing above the huge metal doors, pressed something and they started to part. It looked, and sounded, very dangerous, but she had to take what she could get. She hurried
He went searching for every scientist he could, some of his people began raping the females they came across, others tortured the men. Some wandered elsewhere. The blaring alarm sounded and he heard one of the guards down the hall mention a lockdown. He was quick, grabbing the guard and threatening him with harm if he didn't tell him how to disable the
Her feet padded by the thick rug running through the middle of the hall she came upon a door. Giving a quick turn of the head she was satisfied that no one was following her and no one appeared to be inside. Rolling through and lifting herself into a crouch she surveyed the surroundings. A large room with four entrances, completely empty apart from
“Rebecca. You know whatever I chose you will kill them” You crossed your arms trying to give the boys more time
“There has to be a way to get out of here,” Chloe muttered as she paced in a panicked frenzy.
She just stared at him for a little until she hung her head in her hands and just let out a breath she hadn't realized she held
She came up close to the General and kept her voice down. “The man practically raised us along with Gretchen. If he meant us any harm he could have done it years ago.”
She grinned from ear to ear and practically skipped over to the Gryffindor table, jumping in the chair right next to Elizabeth. She then watched the other kids get sorted…
She searched for a turn but the walls remained smooth and unbroken. Wind whipped through her hair, turning her around to make her see an entrance that she swore wasn’t there before.
“Hey, have you ever wondered what’s in that room,” Riley asked, all of the sudden. Her BFFs looked at where she was pointing at; an old, wooden door. The door was at the very end of the hall, all the lights around it had gone out, only one small light bulb above it that was flickering on and off. The wood looked almost rotten, dark and gloomy under the flickering light. Paige and Emma looked at the door and then shrugged.
“You know, Amira, when you try to have your friends killed, you should really be more thorough.” the smirking assassin replied. “Maybe in your next life, you’ll have the guts to kill me yourself.”
"Sue." Rachel says through gritted teeth. "She locked them up to demoralize us and the Warblers. Come on let 's go." They run down the hallway to the corded off elevator. Rachel leans her ear against the door and listens. A faint vibration buzzes against her ear.
A single silver toned, old fashioned key was lying in a beam of sunshine coming through the doorway windows. It gleamed maliciously in the sunlight making her forget for a moment the scratches on her neck and the vision of the ghost woman that had just frightened her so intensely. She walked toward it in a stunned trance knowing this was the key that would open the door to the secret room; if she could only find it.
“What is going on with you?” he asked, seeming both angry and worried at the same time. I choked out words between gasps, explaining my situation. He rolled his eyes, and started walking in the direction of the games. He reached the claw machine and scooped up Alexa before she could drop in her next quarter.
He rubs his nose with his thumb and breathes in hardly to clear his nose. He walks down the white wall corridor that was made brighter due to the lights that stretched the length of the corridor. The hallway was quiet enough that his black Oxfords echoed with every step he took. At the end of the corridor there is a pair of sliding doors with a surveillance camera that guarded the door like a red-eyed Cyclops. As he approached the door the camera acknowledged his presence and requested a password for entry.
