It seems like everyone who voted for Trump has some kind of excuse: not crooked Hillary, look at all of these illegals taking my jobs, my gun is like a child to me, I want my old lifestyle and factory job back, look at what these libtards did to our country, Trump is a scumbag but at least I know what I’m getting. Most of the people who voted for Trump have nothing to lose. If he does bring back those non-existing coal and factory jobs, his disenfranchised supporters will be able to live they used to and feel empowered. However, if Trump is unable to bring back jobs by threatening auto companies but follows through on his other promises, such as racial warfare and warfare on the immigrants who are integral to this country, those white people …show more content…
Andrea. “Why did people vote for Donald Trump? Voters explain.” The Guardian, 2016. Elaborates how “I cried when I left the polling location because I don’t like Trump at all. I was deeply saddened to vote for him. His personality, his mannerisms and his inexperience repulse me. I wish there had been another conservative choice without simply throwing away my vote. I know if I travel outside of the US I will be deeply disliked because of him. However, he is only a four-year investment and I am trusting in the checks and balances of our country to prevent him and his poor-judgment from damaging the country too much. Hopefully Trump will not affect my daily life. I personally do not have a gun but I strongly support the right to bear arms recognising it as a right that ensures protection from government tyranny. I am also against abortions. Trump has the opportunity to elect a supreme court member, maybe even two or three members considering the current health and age of some justices. Justices serve for a lifetime and I do not want
What steps have you taken to ensure that your herbs are not contaminated with heavy metals?
As most American’s know as well as Gohmert, that it is not just the presidency as stake this election. With one seat already waiting to be filled on the Supreme Court, and others possibly being vacated shortly, the balance of the highest court in America, the one the governs us all, hangs in the balance as well. The people picked to fill these seats will have a tremendous affect on the trajectory of our future as a country.
Trump is our president in-elect, he will soon be the chief in command of our nation, and many are desperately worried about the future of America. Some people still won’t accept that Clinton lost while others are thrilled over the presidential election of Donald Trump. In Thomas Friedman's article Donald Trump Voters, Just Hear Me Out, he doesn’t necessarily agree with the decisions of either nominee, however he believes that Clinton will be the lesser of two evils. On the other hand of the spectrum, Deroy Murdock an extreme conservative firmly believes Trump’s presidential approach can solve the many problems in America according to his article Trump Can End Double Standard of Justice. However, being an extreme conservative he also believes
The outcome of the 2016 election left many Americans feeling confused, angry, cheated, and terrified of the future. Somehow, the sexist, racist, homophobic candidate Donald Trump had become the nation’s president, though Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton received the majority of popular vote. This raised many questions over the constitutionality of the Electoral College system, and whether it was unfair to the people of the United States. In the electoral system, created by the Founding Fathers due to their lack of trust in the people, the constituents of each state vote for their preferred candidate, and all of the state’s electoral votes go to the candidate with a majority. Clearly, the Electoral
To begin with, Trump’s future plans on labor would not deliver the promised jobs in the Rust Belt and would lead to the breakdown of labor unions. While campaigning to people in the Rust Belt(States such as Ohio, Michigan, Illinois), Trump has mentioned in his campaign visits that he will aid the people in those states by imposing tariffs on foreign nations such as China and also renegotiate NAFTA, a trade deal that would lift trade barriers between the Northern American states. However, in a letter to Trump which was signed by 600 economists, Trump’s plan would not bring any jobs in those states. The letter mentions, “He has misled voters in states like Ohio and Michigan by asserting that the renegotiation of NAFTA or the imposition of tariffs
In the novel, The Scarlet Letter, Nathaniel Hawthorne explores the idea of personified passion using the character, Pearl. The story is about the guilty sin of two lovers and how their lives play out in their Puritan settlement. Pearl, their child, is shown as a being unlike any other, due to her parents’ sin, through her lively charisma. Throughout the novel, one can see how she evolves as her parents’ relationships change.
With the arrival of President Donald Trump, a new mood is beginning to set in the White House that is substantially opposite from the liberal administration of President Obama. Notably, the topic of gun control will soon be brushed aside for the next four years, under Trump’s administration. Even though he had a strong support group from gun owners and leaders of the NRA during his campaign, many are still pushing for “common sense” gun safety laws. Advocate for gun control and author of Fight for common sense gun-safety policies far from over, Mark Kelly, touches on personal experiences that motivated him to speak about change in gun ownership. In contrast, author of Gun control negates Constitutional right to property, Jonathan Bain, gives
Politics: just the sound of this single word induces a variety of thoughts and facial expressions. Some embrace the inner workings of politics, while others leave the room immediately after hearing anything relating to it. Like it or not, politics is an integral part of the United States and affects our daily lives. Trying to avoid politics is like a stranded person in the desert swimming their way out of sand. Whether interesting or not, esteemed or despised, politics has become an especially frequent topic around the proverbial dinner table due to the recent presidential election. Among the most heated debates in the political scene arising from November’s election is whether the Electoral College should be abolished. Critics of the Electoral College contend the system is not a truly democratic tool and does not always reflect people’s will. However, others believe the Electoral College has performed sufficiently thus far. The Electoral College’s current format should be maintained because the Electoral College protects the nation from electing a president who appeals to only one region, ensures minority interests are still heard, and proposed alternatives for electing a president hold as many or more defects as the current Electoral College.
None of you wants a job that you actually have to work for, you are against raising minimum wage but wants that $70k/year factory, coal mining job. You will never get that job again. You voted for him because you believed too many are taking advantage of entitlement, yet there are more of you collecting entitlement. You worried about illegal immigrants and Drumpf convinced you, he will build a wall and will round up illegal immigrants, guess what none of those will happen. You worried about your guns being taken away, now Republicans are about to take your social security and Medicaid away. There are more of you relying on government help and subsidy, now you will feel the burn and buyer remorse. I don't give a shit of how you live you lives but how you voted will greatly affect me and the rest of my country. You voted to raise white nationalist and KKK platform and that’s tell me everything about you. As you can see, white nationalist coming out hailing Drumpf as the white savior. He will NOT follow up on his promised of releasing his income tax, he recently settle on his fake Trump university and they will be more legal issues he will settle as not to show his income
Will Donald Trump fulfill America’s request and actually “make America great again”? When friends of mine who are Trump supporters inform me that they support him, I don’t understand the reasons why they picture him as our future president of the united states. Donald Trump has never been an elected official. He has never been elected into an office of any kind. He’s never had to broker political compromise or gave any political speeches prior to him running for president. With no experience in politics at all, why would people think he’d make a good president? Sure, Donald Trump is a barefaced self-promoter and experienced businessman. But people don’t realize all of the mistakes he has made as a businessman. Washington, D.C., is not a type of Wall Street or anything for him to lose money or make some reckless decisions that would put our country into a deeper hole that we are already into, and also getting multiple things done within the nation’s capital takes more than a huge personality and a strong will. If Donald Trump is elected to be our president, he’ll have to quickly learn how to deal with his Democratic associates in the House of Representatives and Senate. He’ll also have to get used to the pace of government because there are moments when things can accelerate pretty quickly and also where things can move extremely slow at times. He’ll also have to get used to giving speeches on topics
The blue-collar worker’s paycheck is dependent much on the factories and mines jobs, but those jobs are slowly going away because of the new types of businesses that have opened up today. The new businesses now require at least a college degree and some years of experience. Out of desperation the white men and women without a college degree made up a third of 2016 electorate (Tankersley). Three-quarters of the uneducated population said that the economy was pretty bad and had seen little to zero improvements on their financial situation. Two-thirds said that they preferred Trump to manage their economy rather than Hillary Clinton (Tankersley). This analysis was because of Trump’s idea to deport the immigrants that are taking their jobs away. That ideology was the spark that leads him to gain many voters on his side. Trump promised the working class whites that he would restore the old industrial economy. He said that he would accomplish that by renegotiating trade deals and tariffs on imports by deporting immigrants, that would help reduce competition from the native-born workers. He also promised economic growth from tax cuts, deregulation and more drilling (Tankrsley). However, Trump’s ideas on tariffs will technically not bring back jobs because he relies on unreliable sources and is always inconsistent with his
After following this year's election, I have acquired a vast amount of knowledge on Donald Trump and his political beliefs. He is an intelligent man. There is no doubt about that. He has many successful businesses, and he managed to somehow convince the majority of the United States to vote him as our next president. However, Donald Trump is a well known sexist and is quite bigoted in his beliefs. The only social class that he cares about is the wealthy upper class, seeing as he is a part of said class. Every choice he makes during his presidency effects this generation and the generations to come. As a fifteen year old who will be affected by all the choices he makes during his presidency, I have many concerns for America when Trump takes office.
Many leading Supreme Court observers believe that adding yet another liberal justice to the court would lead to major changes in the court’s jurisprudence. Today, this impact the two different visions would have on everyday Americans. The Supreme Court plays a very important role in our constitutional system of government and it sets appropriate limits on democratic government by ensuring that popular majorities cannot pass laws that harm and/or take undue advantage of unpopular minorities. As a recent New York Times article put it, adding another liberal to the Supreme Court “would be the most consequential ideological shift on the court … creating a liberal majority that would almost certainly reshape American law and American life. It will impact all of
The weather is perfect for racing: not too hot, not too humid, not too windy. I dash down the twisted trails in the woods, trying not to stumble on the gnarled roots protruding from the dirt. My spikes puncture the soft earth with every stride, and my legs repeatedly pound on the ground, soreness surging through them. As sweat trickles down my face and dirt smears across my aching calves, I ascend a steep hill, trying to bring forth the strength I have accumulated throughout endless hours of practice. Now that I am nearing the final two hundred meters, I must force my body to begin sprinting. Breathing heavily, I dart for the imminent finish line, trying to beat the uninterrupted tick of the timer. Even though the crowd surrounds all around me, I can barely hear their animated cheers, because all I can focus on is crossing the line before the girl next to me. I can feel adrenaline surging through my body, and I widen my stride to cap off the remaining distance. When I glance at my Garmin watch, a new personal best time flashes across the screen. I realize that all of the gruelling work I have put in is worth the final result: happiness. (Snapshot Lead)
Now-a-days, deployment of wireless sensor networks for real-time applications has increased a lot. As and when, we talk about monitoring, transmitting (wireless), and controlling various physical conditions at a site, which we basically call a smart system, can be easily achieved by the wireless sensor networks.
