When I was younger I've always wanted to have the opportunity to experience finding evidence of a crime. Skilled professionals analyze every bit of the scene until they know all the details of a crime including, sometimes, who did it. A Crime Scene Investigator is a person who collects evidence from the scene of a crime. As a child, police and crime shows have always seemed to enthuse me. My reason for wanting to become a Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) is to help find evidence to a crime and to show the world as being a young child and growing up, you don't necessarily have to change your pathway from what you always wanted to be as a young child. In continuation, my dream job is to be apart of the Los Angeles Police Department (L.A.P.D.). “The L.A.P.D. was established in 1869.”( Criminal Investigation Division ) The largest Criminal investigation operations among county sheriff’s offices in California is Los Angeles County. It would be a contentment to work in Los Angeles, because of the very high crime rate such as murders, robberies, burglaries, thefts, and more. “According the major U.S state 160,629 violent crimes committed in California in 2012” ( How to become a criminal investigator in California ). Also, since Los Angeles holds a population of 19 million people it is a very large city which can lead to high crime rates and what would a case do without the life of a crime scene investigator. Most states require that investigators have appropriate licensure. California, however, ensures that investigators meet strict parameters that include passing a background check, passing an examination, and passing an evaluation given by the Federal Department of Justice.
