As a corrections officer’s daughter, I am proud of Sgt. Floyd and I am in solemn grief with his fellow officers and family. The profession of corrections is dependant on being a fraternal organization. Sgt. Floyd is the epitome of a lionheart, knight, and the most honorable man that this world has encountered. Everyday, I will pray that my father is surrounded by officers that are as brave as himself and Sgt. Floyd. “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John

An examination of the patrol officer’s jobs and duties took place. The gathering of information and interviewing a seasoned patrol offer assisted in this examination. The city in which the patrol officer works is also studied. Research of the city of Hueytown’s population and history helped to understand the demographics and crime within the city. While Hueytown’s violent crimes are low, thefts and burglaries rank the highest. Communities, including the city of Hueytown, place patrol officers on the streets in order to protect and serve. Officer Louis Phillips, Jr. gave an interview that takes an in depth look at his journey as a patrol officer.
Location of Interview: My partner and I will interview the suspect, Gavoni, at the procurement building in a traditional office setup. We will clearly communicate with his Supervisor, Carl Rodgers, and request an office to use. We will ask Rodgers not to tell Gavoni anything about the situation. After we arrive and preset the office space to our liking we will call Rodgers and request that he tell Gavoni to report to the designated office immediately and fully cooperate. We don’t want Gavoni to know about the suspect interview until the moment he walks into the designated office. This

The interview was done at the high school in Celeste’s office and Tim was not present.
In the United States, the criminal justice system is a combination of laws and institutions. Laws are to be enforced in order for society to work appropriately as a whole. The many institutions of the criminal justice system include law enforcement, juvenile and adult courts, and correctional facilities. It is a unique system that has developed a specific process to serve justice. It is however, a process that is not without its faults. In order to protect and serve the many different faces of society, the process is structured to ensure the justice system continues to flow in the proper direction. Throughout this paper, I will summarize all the steps between arrest, pre-trial, trial, and appeals. I will explain the contingencies for each stage

Gathering data and researching material is very important within the criminal justice system. No matter what profession one may have within the judicial system, researching information is something that has to be done at one time or another. Emphases of this paper are to give some informational data on police officers and why they choose protecting the community a profession.
Criminal procedures are safeguards against the indiscriminate application of criminal laws and the wanton treatment of suspected criminals. Specifically, they are designed to enforce the constitutional rights of criminal suspects and defendants, beginning with initial police contact and continuing through arrest, investigation, trial, sentencing, and appeals. The main constitutional provisions regarding criminal procedure can be found in Amendments IV, V, VI, and XIV to the U.S. Constitution. The Supreme Court for the first time began to extend the protections guaranteed in the Bill of Rights to exercises of power by state and local governments.
