Please take a few moments to answer the following screening questions: 1) Please describe your most recent investigative and analytical work experience. I don’t have a direct investigative or analytical work experience, but I do assist the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Intelligence Unit by providing detailed information about suspicious activities that go on inside the prison system. Also, I have an academic background in criminal justice. I'm currently doing my master's program in Homeland Security and criminal justice. Have a bachelors in criminal justices and forensic science; also, an associate in law-enforcement and correctional administration.

Police officers and those who supervise and manage them are only as successful as the environment allows them to be. With regards to the intelligence function, law and policy, citizen support, resource availability, agency cooperation, political environments, and other elements of the environments in which departments operate are just some of the issues that determine the ability and successfulness of agencies to create a useful intelligence product (Carter, 2010). Some beneficial means of working with these issues include proper planning and research, opening avenues of communication and cooperation with other agencies, and training.

What many do not seem to realize is that a law enforcement agency is not a job, it is a career. One must truly be dedicated and determined to work in the field because it is all about your love for what you are doing.

Criminal justice administration mainly focuses on crime prevention and punishing any illegal activities. Criminal justice administration is wide and it entails law enforcement and the judicial administration. Some of the jobs that relate to criminal justice administration include; security coordination, juvenile delinquency administration, law enforcement and being a courtroom official. Additional crime is also part of criminal justice administration. This field entails terrorism prevention, immigration policies and social policies. Other duties that criminal justice entails include; police officer, community relations advocate and correctional officer. For an officer working with the criminal justice administration, his work involves law enforcement (Bharti, 2008).

I am writing directly to you in regards to your latest article written about the Alien and Sedition Acts. I am absolutely baffled and taken back by your horrid perception of these acts. Reading such an article makes me understand why so many who have similar political beliefs as you are being taken to jail. These provisions have greatly influenced what law enforcement is today. Due to the power of a law enforcement official, the public expects officers to be held to a higher ethical standard. Part of that expectation entails that officers will follow in the law and lead by example. Unfortunately, no one is perfect and departments will always have those law enforcement officers who stray from what is right and act questionably on and off duty. Law enforcement is a career that is both violent and rewarding in many capacities. Justice needs to be served in law enforcement and they have a responsibility to uphold the law and serve the people in the community. Law enforcement is crucial in the world today as a global realm as life continues to be more complex and law enforcement struggles to combat many aspects of crime. In order to combat these problems and have a positive future in the criminal justice system, everyone must work together on a bigger scale.

There will always be a fight for justice, and where there is crime there are those who must solve them. I wish to pursue a career in the criminal justice industry, mainly working as a forensic science criminalist. Every encounter law enforcement have with a subject/public doesn’t require an arrest, search or seizures. However, we as law enforcement officers help assist with referral for woman and children, to various services in the city. Law enforcement officers, also provide first response to emergencies and other serious threat to person and public safety. I most definitely love helping and supporting individual's however much as could reasonably be expected. Furthermore in some cases law enforcement officer do more customer services to the public more so than arrests. For instance, in my department, every Christmas we find a family that’s in need to sponsor, officers would get together and purchase gift for one person in the family.
