I binge watch Criminal Minds and NCIS. Criminal Minds and NCIS are my two of favorite TV shows to watch, so naturally I compare them to each other. I noticed that most of the characters in NCIS are identical to the characters in Criminal Minds, and that two characters meant to be identical are quite different from each other. The two characters are Abby from NCIS and Penelope from Criminal Minds. Although Abby has a more consistent style and does more business, Penelope has more importance than Abby. While Abby has a constant all-black-clothing style that all of her fans have come to expect, Penelope has an erratic style. In NCIS, Abby always has on an all-black outfit. In season one episode one Abby is introduced in an all-black outfit and …show more content…
In season one of NCIS Abby obviously has known her coworkers for a long time, but doesn’t focus on talking to them when she has important evidence that can help solve a case. In season two Abby talks to her boss about a knife she found and even though she wants to go off topic she forces herself to stay focused. Abby occasionally can get off topic and talk personally to her coworkers, but she always catches herself babbling and decides to go back on the topic at hand. In all seasons of NCIS Abby comes to work, even when she has other things going on. She knows that catching a criminal is more important and that her personal tasks can wait. In Criminal Minds Penelope often makes her personal business more important than her work business. In season six episode eighteen Penelope takes a personal day to go see a criminal and watch them get executed. She is also heard throughout the seasons flirting with one of her coworkers. Every time her coworker calls her she responds with some phrase similar to “How is my Greek god molded from chocolate need today?” or “Yes, chocolate thunder,” taking time to flirt while she is trying to put away a criminal. With Penelope it is obvious who she knows, how she knows them, and what their relationship …show more content…
When Abby was gone in season ten episode thirteen NCIS continued normally and there were not any problems caused by Abby being gone. Abby’s absence doesn’t have a big effect because her coworkers can send her work to special facilities to handle. In Criminal Minds when Penelope was gone in season six episode eighteen her coworkers could not work the same. They didn’t know how to do her job and when they hired a sub it still wasn’t working as it should have. Her coworker definitely new she was gone and they often made comments about how much smoother the case would be going if they had Penelope. They even ended up calling her for help several times a
Take Liesel Meminger and Anne Frank. They have a number of similarities. Both girls living in the same time period, their around the same age. But many differences also separate them. One is a Jew, while
One example of this is between the two characters Cyrano and C.D. Both Cyrano and C.D are known for their incredible ability at doing their jobs. Cyrano is known for being one of the best cadets to ever live and C.D is an excellent Fire Chief. Although they are both widely known for their success, their panache and their massively large noses steal the show. In fact, just by saying the word “nose”, Cyrano or C.D would immediately pop into someone’s mind.
Larson uses characters with similar mindsets to illustrate his point across in the book. Both Holmes and Burnham are ambitious, intelligent, and both work towards a similar goal of fulfilling their dreams endless impossibilities. So, their main similarity is their determination to fulfill their goals. However, the main difference between Daniel Burnham
In reality Penelope is not deciding to marry a suitor but Athena needs to make it seem
Besides sound effects and visuals in a movie, descriptive language in a book, both are usually very similar. Specifically, between the book and the movie Fahrenheit 451, the two share many of the main ideas, but have multiple differences. A couple of the top major differences in the movie are that Clarisse doesn’t die and they omit to tell or mention that there is a war going on. Some similarities are the characters personalities and looks. All of these things have impact on how the movie and book contrast and compare to each other.
Upholding personal morals in a harsh culture can be baffling. Abby doesn't just let life happen she does things that are “.... ruthless, (but) they are in some ways understandable.” she is just trying to make the most of her life. Sure Abby can be inconsiderate, cunning, misleading, and a harlot, but you also have to think about the stern society she is living in. Having your own beliefs in a harsh society can be intimidating, but sometimes you have yo be yourself.
When you read the two stories “The Sniper” and “Lather and Nothing Else”, it appears as though they may have no correlation to each other. In regards to the stories this may be true, but the characters do in fact have something to do with each other. Whether their personalities compare or contrast more, The main question is: are they more similar or different?
The characters though out the stories have similar traits even though they are depicted in different actions. Eva, from “The Found Boat” and Queenie, from “A&P” both contain a sexual ambiance. Eva is naked in front of the young man in the water while freely showing and expressing her sexuality. Queenie’s way of
Abigail Williams is a selfish liar who doesn’t learn from her mistakes or listen to anyone. After Elizabeth kicked her out of their house Abby still tried to lead John on to her. Once she saw John for the first time after she got kicked out she still tells him that she waits every night for him. Abby is also a cold-hearted and manipulate person because of her roles in the witchcraft trials. When
Penelope is Loyal Penelope shows loyalty even when things weren't going good, because she does this she gets something good out of it. The Odyssey, written by Homer and translated Robert Fagles, shows a loyal wife waiting for her husband to return. While her husband is away, Penelope is pressured by suitors to choose a new husband, but strings a web of lies in order to hold off making a decision. For twenty years she remains loyal in his absence, and, when he finally returns, she tests to make sure it is really him. Throughout the book the Odyssey Penelope shows loyalty at all times.
First of all, the character that I am similar to is Callie off of the Fosters. Callie is very kind, smart, thoughtful, and stubborn. We are both very kind hearted. It may not seem like it, but we are. Callie will try to help anyone in any way she can. Callie is very determined and head strong. She lets nothing get in her way.
Penelope and Helen are the real human women who can steal men's hearts with their own feminine ways and they never let their man go. Helen stole the heart of Paris and later married Menelaus-the love that Paris had for Helen began the long Trojan War. Even with her shaded past, Helen is able to live her life as a proper adjusted middle-class matron. Penelope and Odysseus were only together for a few years before he was sent off to war and, while he was gone for over twenty years, his love for her lasted. Penelope is the symbol of marital fidelity, of trust, honor and devotion.
First off, many comparisons and contrasts can be made about the characters. Jamison and the Giver are a good example. Both are mentors and leaders, but Jamison proves that he has a villainous side by nearly killing Kira’s father. On the other hand, the Giver shows he is caring by giving Jonas calm memories every day to make sure he doesn’t go crazy. Jamison is also aloof, not paying attention to others and harming others.
For example, they are alike because Anne is a trouble maker. Unlike Anne, Peter stays to himself and doesn’t bother anyone. Also, Peter has straight
Criminal Minds is a popular TV show focused on an elite team of FBI profilers that identify and try to take down some of the country’s craziest criminals. The main characters of the show consist of three male characters and three female characters. The gender roles vary throughout the show but generally the men are the ones taking the risks. The woman, on the other hand, are generally gathering intel or trying to be a calming voice to get a criminal to cooperate, but on the rare occasion, they are also at a standoff trying to take down the criminal. When taking a quick glance at the show Criminal Minds you notice that each character generally follows the normal gender roles, but each character has a few traits that go against the normal gender roles.
