Critically compare and contrast Commercial entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship using the following dimensions of Responsible Leadership (RL).
RL is a relatively new paradigm that examines existing leadership against
● higher-order strategy, which is concerned with:
a. viability,
b. accountability,
c. ethics,
d. decision making, and
e. acting in an appropriate manner.
● sustainability, which is a key aspect of Responsible Leadership and is concerned with:
f. transparency,
g. observing community obligations,
h. integrity,
i. fair treatment,
j. managing negative impacts of the work process and
k. demonstrating humanity.

Majority of the major corporations worldwide are considered commercial entrepreneurs.

Responsible Leadership is the leadership of leading people or organization in a responsible and ethical manner that, makes decisions and perform actions that, next to the interest of shareholders, takes into accounts of all stakeholders, such as employees, clients, vendors, environment, community, even future generation (Sackmann, 2005). It is one the key topics in business today with growing awareness of social responsibility among business leaders.

In general perception, responsible leadership can be easily found among social entrepreneurs due to the nature of their business goals, they tend to steer their organizations in a more ‘responsible’ direction over commercial leadership, whose business goal in profit may cloud the judgment of their business leaders, luring them to choose a more lucrative path over social responsibility. To further evaluate this stance, both entrepreneurship models will be analyzed against the 2 major aspects of Responsible Leadership paradigm.

The first aspect to be analyzed against is the higher-order strategy, or the direction steered by the two different types of entrepreneurs as the leader of their organizations.
