The mock interview assignment was a great experience for me and I felt well-prepared to complete the interviewing process to the best of my ability. There were times I felt anxious through the Skype interviewing process, because I do struggle with anxiety. However, I felt comfortable enough with Ms. Burton to share my weaknesses. My mock interview was focused toward graduate school and I could discuss my specific challenges with test anxiety. I remained upfront and honest with Ms. Burton about my test anxiety, but gave her vital solutions that I am using to help manage this issue. I was surprised about the amount of time it took me to complete my interview. I completed my interview in such a short duration of time, but it felt like I was
In the beginning of the interview I was very nerve in doing this because I haven’t done something like this before. I didn’t know what to expect
The interview went good, for the most part. I got enough information to form an essay and had everything I needed for the rest of the assignments, although
This is Kacy Norton from the mock interview on Monday, September 21st at 10:30. I just want to take the time to thank you for having me come in and practice my interviewing skills. I appreciate the time you took out of your day along with the friendly advice that will help me in the future. I’ll be sure to remember the pointers you gave along my strengths and weakness!
In order to meet the study objectives, in addition to the case study, a semi-structured interview was conducted using non-random sampling. As respondents of the interview had to have particular characteristics such as ability to value property and knowledge about the property market, estate agents were contacted. A total of 7 interviews were conducted with estate agents in the West Hampstead/Kilburn area. The interviews lasted approximately 10 minutes. The participants were as follows:
After Mr. Daniels was finished with the mock interview, Evaluator gave a brief interviewing class and discussed better answers he could provide to some of the questions. Evaluator and Mr. Daniels discussed appropriate body language during the interview such as maintaining good eye contact and good posture while sitting during the interview. He was also encouraged to show more confidence and enthusiasm.
The test itself was not what I had expected. When the test began it was simply a series of personal questions and questions about men and women within or out of the workforce. Initially, I believed the test would be a series of similar questions. When I was taken to the next screen for
Before the interview I felt relaxed. I was busy in the morning observing another Occupational
I prepared myself for the interview with the patient in advance by trying to select the best possible questions. The questions I selected were focused on getting the most information possible from my patient in the given amount of time. Prior to the interview, I was nervous about being able to comprehend and
I have learnt to do interviews during my placement. Because I took that step out of my comfort zone I believe that I have learnt a lot. I have learnt to take a step out of my shell and try. I have learnt that it is not worth getting worked up over doing interviews and talking to people, as it will be a major part of my
The interview went well. This was no surprise as a lot of the questions were based on protocols and the job description (which I knew fairly well). There was one question that did throw me; asking how I could improve a patient’s memory (and therefore, decrease the risk of dementia). I tried to stay calm throughout, however, I did feel like I mumbled a lot in my answers. However the Senior Sister insisted that I worked on her ward (a stroke rehab), so I’m glad I
In beginning of class when I learned that we would be doing interviews I was dreading it. I have done interviews before and it felt the same as giving a presentation in front of the entire class. I had no real knowledge of what the proper way to hold an interview was let alone as a social worker. I know I wasn’t going to be given real interviews and I would be doing the interviews along with my group made up of fellow classmates but they felt as real as they could get. But gradually over the sessions it became easier and I felt more confident about how to conduct the interview. Having the practice even mock interviews became a great way for me to learn how to have an interview and make sure I know what I am doing. Which is a
The interviewer goes through the same routine, however, I answer each question with no hesitation. This second mock interview feels entirely different from the first. Instead of having a feeling of nervousness, I feel confident about my presence. No longer present from the first interview, my body language now supports the certainty of my responses. After the interview, we go over the synopsis of the session. They say the way I answer the questions and how I present myself makes me very appealing to actual job interviewers. From this experience, it prepares me into the field of
When going into my first mock interview I felt very nervous. I found myself surprised by how quickly I blanked on all of my questions that I had for my initial interview to begin the session. Keeping a professional composer is essential in the reassurance of the client that you can help them with their issues. Nevertheless, I did my best to keep this aura upon myself despite my nerves. As the session progressed, I became more relaxed and found it easier to communicate with my client and ask an array of open ended questions. These open ended questions I found where good transitions to get deeper into the conversation and the underlying issues the client suffered with. Furthermore, I found reflective listening to be fairly easy
I did my mock interview on Thursday at 10:30 with Hallie Rathbun a career staff member at the career services center. I was very nervous because I have never done it before. I practiced answering the questions that I found on the website with my roommates and Karen Student United Association club adviser to help prepare me for the interview. I tried to relax as much as I could before the interview.
The mock interview has given me the ability to always be prepared. I am a recent college graduate and have no experience in interviewing for a future career. The mock interview gives me guidance on what type of questions are going to be asked an ahead of time, how I look when I respond, and how well prepared I am with the deliverance of me answer. The interviewer is only going to let me interview once. Therefore, I need to make it could.
