Was Jane long really the mother of Texas?I think not . It all started on july 23 1798 , when Jane Herbert wilkinson was born. When Jane was born the doctors thought that she was dead and then proceeded to shoved her in a night stand drawer while they saved her mother's life.When the doctors opened the nightstand drawer they discovered Jane Herbert Wilkinson alive and well. Jane was the tenth child in her family.Sadly,Jane’s father died when jane was only one years old .Jane later became an orphan at the age of fourteen. After jane's mom died she moved in with her aunt .Jane’s family was very wealthy, so wealthy that Jane got her own slave named Kian , they were really good friends and when Jane was sixteen she was on her way to school and Kian told her about a very handsome man that was a doctor and persuaded her to skip school and meet him ,she then proceeded to introduced her to James long ,her future husband. Jane later got married to James long in may of 1815 and had her first child when she was only eighteen years old .In September of 1821 jane was expecting her second child and stayed behind at a post while james,her husband left ,she vowed to not leave till he returned but , he never did. She had her child in a very harsh winter,on the Bolivar peninsula in december of 1821. Jane and her slave,Kian fought starvation for over two weeks.She claimed to be the first english-speaking woman to give birth in Texas but, we know now that she wasn't.Soon after she found out that she was a widow in 1822 at the age of twenty four .

In Ernest Gaines novel, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, he stresses the importance of education of black men from the period of slavery to the civil rights movement. Education has not always been available to African Americans. During the time of slavery education was very limited as not many people were educated, especially blacks. Schools for blacks were often destroyed and those found teaching them were usually killed. A lack of education was one way that whites were able to keep control over blacks along with violence to make people scared to challenge their treatment. Andrea Yates was born on July 2, 1964 in Houston, Texas. She was the youngest of five children and grew up in a Catholic household. She graduated from Milby High School in 1982. Cathy, i know very little about last year's doings of the board but I can answer some questions. The way we do minutes now is I make draft and send to members. I think all homeowners should be able to see the DRAFT and submit changes, especially if information personally involves a homeowner. Then if changes I do that. We ok minutes by email. Then send out when in agreement. That way minutes are not a month behind. If you include a message along with the DRAFT that any changes need to be submitted at least a week prior to the next Board Meeting, the Minutes wouldn't be a month behind. Just include a sentence in the current month's Minutes that last month's Minutes were corrected as noted; and then remove the DRAFT watermark before saving it.

Tierra Matthews has a great heart and it shows through her kind and respectful tone to others. Overall, Tierra is always respectful, however I do believe she could benefit from surrounding herself around more season agents. At times I have sensed that she may be tired and it will show through her performance. She has a positive outlook and has request for all supervisors and fellow agents. Tierra can multi-task very well and can quickly access information when need from client websites and Information pages. There are times that Tierra has been late for a shift due to sickness of a family member. She always has her badge and now remembers all passwords. Tierra accepts critique easily from supervisors and does not mind close supervision.

Green Meadows Hospital is newly constructed community hospital owned by Southern Hospitals Corporation. Kate Cooper was very excited when she got a new position at Green Meadows as a Manager of Adult Services. They started hiring people and were getting ready to open the hospital. However, things did not go well as they planned and wanted to. Therefore, Kate had to resign. The biggest problem that I see in this was their unorganized management skills and communications skills.
