1. Theoretical Aspects

We ask our self’s what is culture and were does it originate from. Cultural theories have developed into different disciplines and cultures, because it is a complex system. The terminologies and definitions of culture are so diverse. Culture is a way of life, of people’s values and what they believe in, their traditions and historical background. The Femininity is the softer, caring, and nurturing qualities an organization has, they are more focused on problem solving and consultation and caring for the weak and quality of their life. The fourth dimension is the uncertainty avoidance: this stage looks at conflict avoidance which measures how people react to unfamiliar events that occur at a degree to which people feel uncomfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity. The fifth aspect is the converging culture: this looks at the internationalization of business, you find some people who have been in a company for many years are more rigid in their traditional thinking of how things are always done and don’t want to change. There are others that are more flexible with change and they are usually the younger generations.
I will now look at Deal and Kennedy, (1982) studies on corporate culture where they believed people in the organization are the most important to the success of the business. They emphasized that the way we shape our culture in an organization is influenced by our competitors, the technology we use and what our customers’ needs are. They came up with five aspects. The values of a company is the heart of any organization which people live up to and try to achieve it in their working environment.
