Cultural Influence On Nursing Practice

The purpose of the essay is to explore and concentrate on definition of the culture and the impact of it on my adult nursing practice. In addition, a deep analysis of cultural similarities and differences will be discussed. The definitions of the culture is the values, norms and traditions that affect the way how people of a particular group observe, interact, think, behave and make judgments about their own world (chamberlain 2005, p197). In this essay two different cultural factors will be discussed in more details; which are communication and religion in relation to their influences on nursing practice. One of the most important obstacle is communication in nursing and healthcare, as it can keep the culture alive by verbal and nonverbal communication. Excellent communication skills are a vital aspect in nursing, for nurses to be able to do their job effectively and efficiently; they will have to communicate with a wide range of people around the world. Communication is an integral part of daily work. In nursing practice, nurse-patient communication is information discussion between the nurse and patients, and their families. It is also the connection between nurses and patients deal with the main contents (Jane 2010). The communication pleased between nurses and patients’ awareness and understanding is vital, excellent communication between nurses and patients is able to improve the needs of patients with pain and suffering.
