Culture diversity is when differences in race, ethinicity, ability, age, nationality, language, socioeconomic status, religion, gender, or sexual orientation are represented in a community The community could be a region, city, company, country, neighborhood, or school. A group is culturally diverse if a wide variety of groups are represented. (Kimberly Amadeo, 2017). When culture diversity is applied to a workplace, it becomes a controversial issue. It is important for employees of a workplace because it manifests itself in building a good reputation for the company which leads to increased opportunities for workers and increased profitability. Not only is it important within an organization but it is also important outside of work. Not only does a diverse workplace offer exposure to different cultures and backgrounds, it also allows employees to learn from their co-workers whose attitutdes towards work vary from their own and whose work style may be different. In order to be a paralegal there is certain terminology that you need to learn to understand the legal aspects of the cases that you deal with. Also when talking to a client it is important to know what you are talking about and sound professional. Paralegals need to be informed on legal terms and, depending on the type of law you work in, it is important to be proficient in the area of law.
