Cultural strengths are expressed through the age, experience, and knowledge of the older Americans of the United States. Older people are living longer with healthier lives. A lot of elderly people are living past one hundred years old. The are considered to be in great health and full of energy. Many are still employed and driving to keep up with todays society. Older adults enhance the in the well being of humans in the societal development. For example, grandmothers keep the grandchildren in the family and help with their upbringing and providing food. The elders are more knowledgable about the field work. They share the knowledge and experience of how to farm. These ideas are passed down through generation after generation.
Spirituality
Spirituality is about seeking a meaningful connection with something bigger than you, which can result in positive emotions. Such emotions can be peace, awe, contentment, gratitude, and acceptance. Emotional health is about cultivating a positive state of mind. This can broaden your outlook to recognize and incorporate a connection to something larger than you. Basically, do not get stuck on negative emotions. It can be difficult to cultivate positive emotions, such as gratitude and compassion.
