INTRODUCTION OF TOPIC
Recruitment: - Meaning
Recruitment means to estimate the available vacancies and to make suitable arrangements for their selection and appointment. Recruitment is understood as the process of searching for and obtaining applicants for the jobs, from among whom the right people can be selected.
A formal definition states, “It is the process of finding and attracting capable applicants for the employment. The process begins when new recruits are sought and ends when their applicants are submitted. The result is a pool of applicants from which new employees are selected”. In this, the available vacancies are given wide publicity and suitable candidates are encouraged to submit applications so as to have a pool of eligible candidates for scientific selection.
In recruitment, information is collected from interested candidates. For this different source such as newspaper advertisement, employment exchanges, internal promotion, etc.are used. In the recruitment, a pool of eligible and interested candidates is created for selection of most suitable candidates. Recruitment represents the first contact that a company

Recruitment is the process of attracting, screening and hiring people or a person for a job. The attracting process of recruitment is where the business advertises the available job vacancies for a period of time. Once the deadline of the advertisement has arrived, the business collects up all the CV’s from the applicants and they are all checked off against the person specification. This is where the applications are selected by the business, the selected applications are then invite by the business for an interview and from there they are able to decide whether they are suited for the job.
Recruitment and selection is the process that organisations use to attract potential employees and then choose the best person for the job.
“Recruitment is the process of attracting individuals on a timely basis, in sufficient numbers, and with appropriate qualifications, and encouraging them to apply for jobs with an organization.” (Mondy and Noe, 2005 page 221)
Recruitment is the process for attracting candidates for vacant jobs , and it’s done through giving attractive advertisements for the jobs , Also by creating well defined job descriptions for the various jobs , The aim of recruitment is to attracts the right candidate for the various job , It’s the first process in selection process.
Recruitment can incur a very large cost to an employer, therefore, organizations try to uses the method of recruitment which will have the lowest cost impact to the organization for each candidate.
Internal recruitment can be done relatively cheaply and quickly; the vacancy can be advertised through staff notice boards, company intranet or company-wide emails.
Many different avenues exist that can be utilized in the recruitment process. While traditional methods of recruitment such as newspaper advertisements employee referral programs are still be used, many companies, including Fortune 500 companies, are moving towards more technologically advanced avenues such as career opportunity pages on the company website, online job boards, social media, etc. The way an organization presents itself using any of these avenues is essential to the recruitment process as it is the only opportunity for the organization to attract
Culture has many definitions, but is mostly defined as a set of beliefs, behaviors, customs, and ways of life that are shared and accepted by people in a society, moreover, culture is learned. Culture has an impact on how we communicate, therefore, the way we interact and communicate with others is influenced by our particular culture in which we live.
Recruitment is the process of generating a pool of capable people to apply for employment to an organisation.
The next area of discussion of human resource management staffing is recruitment. Recruitment is the process of attracting people who might make a contribution to the organization. It is often stimulated when an existing employee leaves an organization or when the organization is expanding. So recruiting can be defined as the process of generating a pool of qualified applicants for organizational jobs (Mathis & Jackson, 2008). It is important that human resource managers understand labor markets.
Firstly, recruitment is the process of searching for candidates who will be qualified to meet the desired positions in the company. Figure 1.1 shows the four step process in recruiting potential prospects into any company. This process will determine the best means of hiring qualified employees. “Its purpose is to ensure that the required number of applicants with the required skills is generated at minimum possible cost; to eliminate poorly qualified candidates, thus improving the success rate of the selection process; and to help the firm meet its employment equity goals by attracting a diverse applicant pool.”
Recruitment refers to the process of finding possible candidates for a job or function, undertaken by recruiters. It may be undertaken by an employment agency or a member of staff at the business or organization looking for recruits. Either way it may involve advertising, commonly in the recruitment section of a newspaper or in a newspaper dedicated to job adverts. Employment agencies will often advertise jobs in their windows. Posts can also be advertised at a job centre if they are targeting the unemployed. Recruitment is the process of detecting that the business needs to employ somebody up to the point at which application forms for the post have arrived at the business or now a day can be completed over the business website. Selection then consists of the processes involved in choosing from applicants an appropriate candidate to fill a post. Recruiting people to fill particular posts within a company can be done either internally by recruitment within the company, or externally by recruiting folks from outside.
