Cumulative Discount Examples

Satisfactory Essays

A cumulative quantity discount is a discount that consumers accumulate overtime after a certain amount of purchased goods. An example of this type of discount would be at Macy’s where you earn a discount after a couple visits and accumulated the amount you’ve spent. Whereas a non-cumulative quantity discount is a reduction in price off a certain amount of merchandise. For example, Victoria’s Secret often has cumulative quantity discounts such as if you purchase $100 worth of merchandise, you get 15% off your purchase.
