I was honestly very happy reading your post. Your excitement ant passion for the NFL made me happy not because I like the NFL because I don’t, it was because I always find inspiring when someone has a passion for something. I think that every human being should have a passion or a hobby something that makes happy because life is too stressful at times, and it is good to have an escaping source. As well as you, I have no idea that the NFL used the NPV to determine how to choose their players, I did think that they had some type of financial system to make the selections.
Before my grade 12 year, I started a job at a drug store working as a front store cashier. Because the store is constantly getting new programs and new machines that all cashiers must be familiar with, I constantly receive training where I am learning new skills and techniques. I have learned to be adaptive and developed into a very quick learner. The most important aspect of being a cashier is the ability to interact with the customers offer assistance where it is needed. As a Pharmacist, they work directly with patients and clients, working hard to provide effective care. Through my
Although I have been working in the healthcare field for over four years now switching facilities is never easy. Although most of my skill set, knowledge, and tools were transferable to my new job, starting over was the hard part. At my previous job I had seniority as well as
I gained valuable work experience and specialized skills at various jobs while attending junior school , high school and community college. Each job took me out of my comfort zone by meeting new people whom had different ethics, work experience, and financial backgrounds than my own. My first job was at The Whale's Tale Ice Cream Shop in the Hamptons, an exclusive vacation destination in New York. The following summer I put in an application at the Vine Street Cafe which is a high-end restaurant in the Hamptons. That same summer I worked in the morning shift as a busboy for the Chequit Inn. From this experience I learned that hard work and dedication are key factors to being successful. Those principles have helped me excel at each job I've
Back then we had a lot of training and today we have a lot of training and each year it gets better. The three good things that the company me helped strengthen for the Retail Account Executive position, when I got the job. I had the people skills, meaning I was able to work in a team setting, stay calm and professional with customers. Second Customer experience is a focus for the company. AT&T does a great job over coming objections and how to have the “I can help you with that” attitude. Third I have to say I always enjoy communicating with people but the company has taught how to be even better and to look at topics in a different way. For example when I first started I never proof read my emails so sometimes I would skip words or not make sense or put things in an email that I didn’t think was bad but could have put the company and myself in jeopardy. Another example would be every year we have to take a training that helps understand how you should accommodate employees with disabilities or
The best experience that would reflect positively on my ability to succeed would be working at Alpha Chiropractic. I first joined Alpha at the age of 16 and continue to be a loyal employee. When I first joined the company, I lacked on all sort of skills. The first skills I learned at Alpha was communication and team work. Communication and team work are the principle characteristic on successfully working with your peers. When I obtained a higher position, I acquired the knowledge of time management. There was often a lot of pressure from the doctors, attorneys, coworkers and even the CEO. I learned to draw plans and set up priorities on the work load. While at this position I also learned patience. Patience was an absent skill when I first
Comp 101 was easier than I had originally expected; Comp 102 wasn’t much different. I came into this semester expecting it to be very similar to last semester, especially considering I had the same instructor. I was correct for the most part, the course consisted of very similar content. The biggest differences being the types of essays. In the first semester I wrote a Letter of Introduction, a Profile Essay, an Evaluation, and a Reflection. This semester I wrote an Argument Analysis, an Informative Report, a group Annotated Bibliography, a Proposal Essay, and a Reflection, which I am currently writing. Through writing these essays, I’ve learned that some require lots of time dedicated to researching, while others require wordsmithing to allow you to find that one word that gets your point across perfectly. Overall, my reading and writing skills improved, while my communications skills stayed that same throughout my time in this class.
Overall, my first day at work was pretty awful, and I just hated it. I hated it because of the position I was working ,and the people I was working with were absolutely terrible. They didn’t want to train me they ignored me, and they weren’t doing their job. I was doing a lot of work during my first day, and I ended up throwing up all over the place. I was ready to quit, but I ended up keeping the job. For those reasons, that’s why I hated my first day of
Patients are central to healthcare delivery, yet their perspectives and input has been rarely considered by providers [1]. Over the last two decades this is beginning to change, and patient-centered care is drawing increasing interest. This shift in focus, from provider-based to patient-based, is highlighting the importance of incorporating patient’s needs and perspectives into care delivery. Furthermore, patients are becoming more engaged in their care, coinciding with the onset of patient-centered healthcare as a major domain of quality by many healthcare providers.
Thank you for the question. Firt of all I would ike to say couple words about the course. When I saw it in the list of my program courses I was not feeling any excitement, opposite from that I was very bitter about the CVW course. Obviously it is because I am not Christian, but the rea reason is that I did not know much about religion and had no desire to learn, well, people call it ignorance. Hovewer, so far it is the best course I have studied in GCU! Honestly, I was not excecting it to be so interesting, challenging and the most important thing about it is that I really had to “dig into myself” to find some answers, it helped me realize couplr things. It did not change my worldview and I still have same opinion about religion, but so much
Warm Sun or a Pleasant Chat Ahren Olson Have you ever found yourself wondering “what would it be like to work there?” Being employed since I was fourteen, at three different companies, I have acquired a lot of skills and experience. I was employed at my first job, the Community Design Center (CDC), for four years. I was a member in the garden corps, and moved up to a position in the conservation corps team. If you had a job at the CDC some tasks would include tending to organic gardens, parks, and nature sanctuaries. My next job was at Super America (SA) as a customer service representative. Over the three years that I was employed there I was promoted to a food representative, and then a shift lead. While working at SA one will find themselves: facing shelves, stocking shelves, helping customers, and cleaning and maintaining appliances. My current job is at the American Automobile Association (AAA); I started out as a license clerk and was promoted to my current position as a license specialist. At AAA you could expect assisting customers with drivers license renewals, vehicle title transfers, and Department of Natural Resource transactions (DNR). The CDC, SA, and AAA some people will say they are good jobs to be at, especially at a young age, but being an employee at the CDC has been the most rewarding and pleasurable job.
The time is spring semester 2008 and the location is Hofstra University – I was a sophomore Broadcast Journalism major growing a great disdain for that field, but didn’t know what to do. Ironically, it was during that semester that I was assigned the task of interviewing a graduate speech-language pathology student in Hofstra’s Saltzman Center as part of a career exploration video for incoming freshman. In addition to the sit-down interview, I was allowed to film her and her fellow classmates as the tended to patients. Put it this way, to say I was fascinated with the work would be an understatement. However, after speaking with advisors and financial aid counselors, it wasn’t feasible for me to change my major as I would have had to extend
My first job after completing undergrad, was at Planet Fitness. It was actually my first job where I didn’t have any familiarity of the company/organization, my colleagues, or who I would be servicing so everything was brand new to me. The first thing I needed to get familiar with was the formal work-related aspects of the fitness center along with the role specific tasks, skills required, and specific reporting requirements. To achieve this and get me socialized, I was placed with an employee who had experience at Planet Fitness and shadowed them until I was comfortable and able to
First time entering into the work force at the age of 16 I was able to obtain a retail position working with T.J. Maxx and then soon after Lane Bryant. During the year and a half spent at Lane Bryant I started as a Sales Associate / Cashier and was promoted within less than a year to a Key Holding Manager. At this time I managed to balance a job while at the same time maintaining my grades in school. The experience of being in school and working taught me time management which is a skill I use till this day and I continuously work on perfecting. In addition to learning to manage my time to produce the needed results from both school and work I also learned how to provide exceptional customer service as well as interacting with a variety of nationalities. During my time in the work force I have learned those skills are a necessity within any trade, professional field or work environment. I took those experiences and skills and decided to pursue an administrative position within an office environment which would allow more of a set schedule.
As time went on, things slowly started to get better. With my improved work habits, I slowly began to catch up on school. Also, I began to know my coworkers better, and I get to spend more time with my friend there. Moreover, after knowing how the store functions and learning all the menu items, the work became easier as well. I started to really enjoy this job despite getting some wrist injuries from scooping ice cream.
