I have already covered and explained how current H&S legislation, policies and procedures are implemented in our setting in previous units, so I will briefly run through them in bullet points: 1. The Health & Safety at Work Act, 2 parts: Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 2. COSSH – Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1994 3. Accidents – Accident books etc 4. Risk Assessment – 5. Good Hygiene Practice – 6. Security 7. Regulations covering manual handling and risks associated with lifting and carrying children
