*Wheeze wheeze wheeze* Dalton looks around frantically. All he sees in the head lights of nearby cars. He looks back and runs forward without stopping. Wait let’s start this from beginning. Dalton Bellevue was a normal man, he was at work one day in the same old gray and boring cubicle with the cat hanging from the tree with the caption “hang in there”, like always until one day he was working on the computer and his boss, Jimmy Kregg, called his name. “Dalton get in here now.” Dalton stood up, embarrassed, looked around and walked over to his bosses office. “Have a seat.” said, Jimmy. As Dalton was told he sat down. “I was going over your files.” said, Jimmy. “You failed to mention that you have dyslexia.”
“Well, it never came up.”
“Well, it would’ve been nice to know.”
Later that day he went home to his apartment in Downtown, New York and he

Dalton took the bat and sat down on his uncomfortable, worn out, brown leather couch. He stared blankly at the black television screen waiting, he was waiting for the unknown, he was waiting for the being that was on the other side of the wall. Thoughts floated through his mind all night. “When is he going to come?” “Why didn’t he come yet?” “What happened to Linda?”. When morning finally came he tried to call sick to work but it didn’t ring once and decided to take a look at Linda’s house and when he was leaving his house he noticed something weird. He wasn’t in his apartment building any more. His apartment looked like it had been taken out of the building and put into the field behind where his apartment used to be. Out of nowhere he heard strange noises he looked around and saw nothing, until out of the corner of his eye he saw something, something that didn’t belong and it saw him. He started to run. He saw a patch of trees, he ran towards it. He ran through the trees for an hour, he started hearing cars in the distance so he knew he was close to
Simon was in his tent mumbling to himself about how much of a his friend Thomas was hiding in the RV because it was “to cold” and Garry, who was just a disappointment running home when they told him to do some work. When he heard it, a sound no camper wants to hear, fur brushing against a tree. The sound of a large animal. He heard the sound of twigs snapping and crackling leaves getting louder and louder. But worst of all even worse then the sound was the horrific smell. The smell of decay, the smell of blood. As the sound got closer he started to hear a growl, then the other sounds stopped and he was alone with the mortifying smell and the low growl. He opened his eyes, the dim moon gave little light through the trees, all he needed to make
One of the main moments I want to analyze though I want to analyze though is when Dalton is playing by himself upstairs alone, and the attic opens up by itself, signifying that is looks like something/someone does in fact have housing up there, and they want Dalton to investigate, and him being a child, he takes the bait (I would have too, since children are naturally curious). When he gets up to the attic, he tries to turn on the attic light, so he climbs up the ladder, but one of the rungs is broke on it, so he falls. After that, he turns his head into the back of the attic, (NOTE: the audience doesn't get clear shot of the figure, or any shot of the figure in that matter) he sees a shadowy figure that scares him. However, when his parents come to see him, he plays it off that he just got hurt when he
They sat in Dalton’s basement watching a horror film that Knoche had put on, but not without the complaints of the others.
All he could hear was silence. It cut through him and filled his head. He tried to move again because he didn’t think that he would be able to stand the silence anymore. When he shuffled his feet pain shot like a firework through his chest. His vision had adjusted to the dark now and the remains of the taxi car surrounded him like a bird’s nest. Again thinking about the taxi driver Tyler was able to shuffle to his feet trying to ignore the pain thundering like a rainstorm in his chest. Putrid smells filled his nose causing him to throw up again. This time all over his leg. Trying to shake it off pain again swarmed in his chest. Now that he was up he was going to try and find Derek. Or what was left. He followed the smell leading him through the dark. Suddenly, the smell surrounded him. Coming off more strongly than before. This time he followed it to the
The sirens scream in my ears like newborn babies, their flashing lights paint the walls, a beacon of terror. I am a field mouse, surrounded by eagles. I am a seal, with no escape from the preying orcas... and it’s feeding time. The smell of burning rubber wafts through the holes in the walls of this house, a house that was once a home. Another car speeds past, and I pray to God, whoever he is, that Ellie and Carl aren’t in the backseat. I know they are too clever to be caught out in the open, but the pigs are getting smarter, they’ve started invading entire apartment blocks now... or whatevers left of them. I hear a yell from the direction backdoor of this empty shell of a house. I have to leave. I scramble to find the backpack, but all I feel
As I stalked over to Devin’s house, thoughts flooded my head like a giant wave. “ What if I get caught?” “Should I go without Devin?” “What would happen if they catch me?”
After school Katie rode the bus home and went up to her room to look for her earplugs. She could not find them everywhere she looked so just gave up after a while. A few days later a couple of the family’s belongings had gone missing. Sophie lost her puppy that could dance when you pressed it’s paw, Will had lost his bright green work gloves, and Celeste had lost her brand new necklace that said mom across it. One night when everyone was in the living room Will walked into the kitchen and heard a muffled screaming sound he ran into the living room and everyone was just normal sitting on the couch. “Hey why were you guys yelling?” Will asked. “Dad we weren’t yelling.” Katie told him. “ I just..” Will stopped. “Never mind, I guess.” Everyone just ignored it and went off to bed. In the middle of the night Celeste woke up and went downstairs to get a glass of water. When she was walking down the steps she heard a wierd sound like somebody was whispering. She stopped for a second and ran back to her room to get her phone. She flashed the light off her phone up and down the steps still hearing the voice she got nervous. When she walked down the steps she couldn’t hear them and when she walked to the top of the staircase she couldn’t either, but when she was in a particular spot in the middle of the staircase, she could hear the voices. She put her ear up to the wall very slowly and heard the noises more clearly. All of a sudden she heard “SLAM”. She took her ear off the wall and ran upstairs. She woke up Will and told him what she heard, but when he checked there was nothing. “Maybe it was just rats or something.” Will suggested. “I know what I heard there were voices!” Celeste tried to explain. Will told her that he would call an exterminator to check it out.
The closer I seemed to get towards the overpowering entrance the darker the area turned into around me with nothing but stealthy moving shadows and the chilly midnight air. Here I am on top of a ginormous hill surrounded by woods, an antediluvian orphanage, and my two best friends. Looking ahead of me, I observe a towering, brick building, with two columns in front with the shadow of the home looming over us. Why did I let them talk me into this I asked myself over and over again as we approached the abandoned home step by step. I looked at Jess, who is tall, loves adventure and has black hair and said: “Jess, I just don’t think this is a good idea we are going to get into so much trouble if we get caught.”
Once he arrived, he sat down under a tree and pulled out his math homework. He had much to do, and he had to be home before six. His fellow friend Georgie had entered the park and sat down near the swings to do his homework too. Shortly after Georgie took out his science book, Jake had felt something odd. He got a sense of eyes watching him again, but he couldn’t pinpoint the source. Finally, he saw that there was a man at the top of the hill watching him. The uneasiness in Jake’s stomach came back, so he picked up his stuff and sat next to Georgie. The man eventually disappeared, but the unsettled feeling in Jake’s gut had not.
Casey sat there, that plain desk looking at the teacher standing at the podium at the front of the room. The room had seemed to feel like it was closing in on them, suffocating them until they were dead fish. Casey looked around a bit, he then saw something in the corner of the room, it was a dark black shadow creeping up from the floor and stalking towards him as if he was prey. Because that was what he was. He was prey. The figure then rushed right into him, through every limb his body, he was now light,as light as a feather, he was not heavy anymore. Casey could feel something.. Something he's never felt before. Something inside him. He felt-, Alive. He felt like he was living for a change. The sparkle in his eyes returned like a firework in the night-sky . It was like something clicked inside of him. He felt the feelings come rushing inside him like a dam that had been destroyed, His normality had been destroyed, and he was free from the curse of-,
I was walking home from school it was just a five minute walk. But it still tires me out because of all the books I have in my backpack. I finally reached our street, it’s just the usual nothing new, Ms. Gomez walking her dog, The Jacksons still as noisy as ever that even though they’re inside their house you can still hear them playing their music loudly, and then there is our house. While opening the door, I almost step on something, it was a pocket watch. Now why would a pocket watch be here? I also had no clue.
Mark and Lucas dropped us off and I and Matt just stood there staring at the house. “I hate you very much right now” Matt said and I smiled “oh well, let’s go” We jumped over the gate and grabbed the flashlight. As I flashed the light I saw a black figure through the window curtains. “Did you see that?” I asked Matt and he looked at me. “See what?” I was probably just seeing things. “Uh, nothing. It’s probably just my mind playing games.” I said and we walked to the front door. I moved the vines that were blocking the door and opened the door slowly. “It smells like a dead animal in here” Matt said and we walked inside. “What if it’s not dead animal?” I asked, looking at Matt just to tease him a bit. He looked at me with his big eyes and I laughed. “Shut up!” He whispers yelled. “I’m just
He didn’t really notice how much time had gone by until someone placed a cup down in front of him, it was after the morning rush and he now reading the latest medical journals. He looked up and thanked the small brunette lady, he recognised her as the lady who normally yelled out the orders. He took out his wallet to pay her but she waved it off. “It’s from that guy over there” She said, pointing to hipster kid in the window who was furiously typing away at his laptop. He had his back to Leo and he couldn’t recognise him, maybe he was a former patient.
It was very seldom that I ventured into town, and consequently having to make such a trek was awfully dreaded. I knew it was inevitable, so I decided not to dwell on the matter and lapped up the remnants of scrambled eggs from my plate with one final scoop, pushed the dirty dishes aside, and stood to my feet. The lids of my eyes began to feel wearily heavy as I suddenly yearned for sleep; perhaps it was due to the emotional whirlwind at such an early hour of the day. I started for the front door and swiped my jacket from the coat rack with my right hand while simultaneously pulling the door open with my left, embracing a slightly cooler breeze as I skipped down the walkway leading from my domain towards town. I took a quick glance in the direction of the house cattycorner to the left side of mine finding Richard Vance hauling a few large boxes, but still no sign of Margaret. I refused to allow my mind to venture down a dark alleyway of uncertainty and paranoia, but I did find it rather peculiar that Margaret had yet to surface the morning after she seemingly feared returning home too late. But, just as I feared, my thoughts of such matters began to overtake my mind, thoughts of potential domestic violence scaring me into physically shaking my head loose of them. I played it off as if a bug of some sort was flying about my face, however I honestly didn’t know if anyone was truly watching. Regardless of the Vance’s personal matters, or lack of, I still thought it was an
I pound my fists on the door screaming “open the door, open the door Emma, hurry!” All I hear is my heart beating so fast and white noise I was so terrified. “Oh my god Alana, what is wrong!” Emma shouted with fear in her voice as she’s pulling the door open. I fell on the floor and Emma closed the door and locked it. Emma kept asking me “what happened Alana, what happened, are you ok?” “Someone was behind me, stalking me slowly. I heard them!” I stammered. Emma looked out her window “I don’t see anyone or anything but a cat out there Alana!” I got up off the floor, looked out the window with hesitation for a few seconds and saw the cat. Then I laughed and thought to myself could it have been just a cat? Am I being paranoid? Or is someone watching me and following me? “Come on let’s start getting the party set up Alana.” Emma said while pulling my arm towards the basement. “Ok” I said as I was looking back at the door thinking about what just happened.
