Dances with wolves ended with the lovers walking away from the Sioux land and text explaining the events that followed. Tombstone takes a similar approach by using guns and revenge to appeal to the male audience and love between the main character and an actor in the movie to appeal to the female audiences. It also has a similar ending where the lovers dance after all that has happened. However, there are differences in the events of the two movies. Dances with wolves tells the story of a white soldier adapting to the Sioux way of life before his very own army came and destroyed the Sioux tribe. Tombstone is completely different by instead of indians, there are cowboys and Wyatt Earp must protect his town from the crime they
Hollywood has helped create and perpetuate many different stereotypical images of the different races in the world. Those stereotypes still continue to affect the way we think about each other today and many of those stereotypes have been proven to be historically inaccurate. The movie Dances With Wolves, directed by actor Kevin Costner, does an excellent job in attempting to promote a greater acceptance, understanding, and sympathy towards Native American culture, instead of supporting the typical stereotype of Native Americans being nothing but brutal, blood thirsty savages.

The Tab Murphy and Wilford Brimley, “Last of the Dogmen” is a story of a “distinct” Cheyenne tribe, in which architectures search for the reason why the culture disappeared. The movie has two different worlds that interact with one another and soon will become one or the same in the beginning. In “Last of the Dogmen” the message and story would be clear because of what the tribe wants and the other wants the knowledge of the tribe, both would want different things because of the peace that they want. This film has become my favorite movie since it had been played throughout my

The film was very heart-breaking and intense, but this was the life of a slave. This film uses many cinematic strategies such as casting and acting, sound-image relationships, and setting. This film uses an accurate setting, cast, and acting to make it feel as if you are in the life of an actual slave. Obviously, this film depicts slavery, but no movie feels as surreal as this one. This film also uses a sound-image relationship when one slave is being whipped and all you can hear is the cracking of the whip and screams from the tortured slave. This film is often very serious while showing the treatment of Native Americans, but has a twist in their story with an American soldier coming across a Native American tribe, and eventually joining. During this time, the western land was magical and as God’s land. This film depicts this by using photography shots show the western land. The Western genre been highly prevalent in Hollywood films for decades. Beginning with The Great Train Robbery in 1903, Western films have gained international many parts of Europe and Mexico in addition to the United States. One classic example of a Western feature (full length) film is True Grit (1969), which stars John Wayne as the strong, memorable protagonist, Rooster Cogburn. Although the film follows many filmic conventions regarding the formula of the Western genre, it also defies certain conventions, thus serving as an example of a revisionist Western. Everyone has a preconceived opinion of how a certain ethnic group is in terms of the way they live, the morals they hold, the way they deal with people different from them, and how they deal with one another. We come to these conclusions by what we have seen in the media, heard from other people, or actually experienced ourselves. Most people would consider these opinions to be stereotypes. Although one may think two movies like The Crow, an intense live action fighting movie and The Nightmare before Christmas a movie featuring the friendly Jack Skeleton can’t be compared. As well as their many apparent differences, they have an interesting amount of similarities. The most obvious similarity would have to be The Nightmare before Christmas being a town that revolves around Halloween, and the crow taking place on Halloween. Jack skeletons intentions to bring the good and pure spirit of Christmas to Halloween town may be the best, but his way of going about this is not. In the crow the entire movie is based around a man called Eric brought back to life to seek vengeance for himself and his late wife, and rid the town of the gang
