The term ‘so bad, it’s good’ is thrown around a lot these days, but what makes a ‘so bad, it’s good’ movie? A lot of bad films out there try to fall into that category by intentionally being terrible, but I like to think that the true good/bad films are the ones that in all honesty are trying their darndest to be good. It’s the ones where the people that worked on the film tried their best, but through some terrible acting and incoherent plots, ended up with a product that was a valiant attempt, but with a terrible execution. Dangerous Men is to me a perfect example of the aforementioned term. It’s obvious that director John Rad was trying to make a movie that was supposed to be good and you can tell it was a passion of his to finish it, even …show more content…
During their trip, they run afoul of two bikers who pick a fight with Daniel, who ends up being stabbed. Mira is obviously distraught over this situation and vows to get revenge on all scumbags, naked-punisher style, by pretending to be hot for the killer biker and heading out with him to a hotel (leaving poor dead Daniel on the beach) for a nice steak dinner and some tickling of the kneecaps (don't …show more content…
It’s loaded with special features, with some really informative interviews with John Rad's family, a few of the people that went to the first showing in theatres, and a commentary with two guys who are sitting down trying to figure this movie out. There is also a 42-minute episode of The Queer Edge (a local L.A. show) that has a quick interview with John Rad. There isn't much info in this feature, but there is a fun segment where a host and his super hot assistant visit a porn convention. That was fun. As for the video and audio side of things, the movie is ultra low budget, so don't expect a miracle but do expect a solid grindhouse feel with this one, with a solid audio presentation.

Verdict
Dangerous Men is a confusing mess of a flick, but it’s also a damn blast to witness. It jumps from one terribly acted scene to the next, but you just gotta strap in and enjoy the ride, which is made easy with the wonderful Blu-ray from Drafthouse
First impressions are not always right. This is what this essay is about, and my opinion is that you should not judge even though it's hard not to. I've stereotyped and judged a person by their looks, but I was wrong and it made me feel bad. He was a good guy and he became one of my best friends. This is a 12 Angry Men essay about all the stereotyping and judging someone by their looks that is on trial in the
The Most Dangerous Game was a story made by Richard Connell in 1924, and had a movie adaptation in 1932. The short story tells about a man stranded on an island by the name of Rainsford. He finds Zaroff, a general with a great lust for hunting, who hunts people and Rainsford himself going to be hunted. He then attempts to outwit the general and ends up possibly taking his place. The film tries to encapsulate the excitement and story of the original version with more enticing visual effects and mostly succeeds. Although the film shares many themes and characteristics as the story, it has also changed many key factors.
What makes a film great to the viewer watching it? Is it the plot of the story? Maybe even the timing of the film? Possibly the special effects? The answer is all of it makes a movie great. You cannot just take in a few things to determine if the movie fulfills your standards of what makes a film good. There are a few things that really makes the movie Arrival stand out as one of the better films of 2016. I believe that Arrival is built on the foundation that all great movies have a relatable theme, show good acting, and brings out certain emotion that keeps us wanting more.
The classic movie 12 Angry Men opens with clips of a courthouse, ultimately panning to a specific court room where an 18-year-old boy is on trial for killing his father. Despite the case being the central point which the story revolves around, the movie isn’t about the boy or even his father. The movie is about the 12 jurors who are in charge of the boy’s fate. If they decide he is guilty, he is sentenced to the death penalty, which meant death by the electric chair.
The positives of good v. bad story telling is most apparent in superhero stories. Its literally comprised of a hero and a villain. The avengers, for example, is a relatively “black and white” story with the only proper ambiguities being in character flaws and the perspective of the villain. Although the story is still at a constant good v. evil, the villain is not technically wrong in his perspective. However the movie still remains at a dichotomy and this is particularly prevalent in a scene half way into the film (INSERT TIME STAMP HERE) with a faceoff between the villain, and a civilian (who is an implied holocaust survivor), in which the civilian is nearly killed for standing up for his beliefs. This idealism, of dying like martyr, in what would hopefully spark something in others, goes against the concept of self-preservation, and thus falls into the line of using fiction as a form of black and white
Action packed and funny from start to very end. As I said before A LOT of dirty humor and like profanity...which kinda sucks for kids who love the Marvel movies but then again there's no other way to have a Deadpool movie other than with the R-rating so... there's that. I wasn't a big fan of the jumping around time sequence thing they had going.
Media, including movies has been an outlet for many directors and screenwriters to express both their opinions and to illustrate the social temperature in which they lived while injecting their own views into their work. Media 'fossils' like The Lost Boys directed by Joel Schumacher not only provide a thrilling tale for viewers, but also critiques, comments, and upholds different social norms in an amusing manner as an outlet for often controversial subjects such as peer pressure amongst young people. The Lost Boys may be a gory film, but to ignore the film's social context would be to ignore the complexity of the movie itself. Many young people today as well as in the eighties were under a siege of pressure from their peers to conform to the group's expectations. When the older brother Michael first goes into David and his friends' tomb, he is blatantly pressured into drinking and performing dangerous acts that he wouldn't normally do.
You will see a lot of psychological phenomena exhibited in the movie 12 Angry Men. Many of these phenomena are listed in the boxes on the next page. Your task for this assignment is to watch the movie, take note of these various psychological phenomena, and then write a cohesive 2-3 page paper discussing these themes.
Even grand critics such as Roger Ebert thought that the movie was “complete with tense action sequences, a surprising twist and 007-inspired opening credits—while spiked with a high percentage of gags that actually
Margot raced to their meeting place, zooming down the street and parking their bike behind a dumpster that hadn’t been touched in years. They started meeting up in an abandoned Junkyard when Matt had accidentally flung a can at Margot’s face and gave them a black eye. Margot quickly climbed over the barbed wire fence, hands getting cut in the process but, once they reached the top they lost their balance and fell over the other
There’s more to a good movie than most people think. Judgement comes down to personal taste. A good movie will have, not just interesting but inspiring characters. Characters that, while watching the film, will make us empathize and care about what happens to them throughout their cinematic journey throughout the film. It allows the audience to converse about their views on who were the good guys and who were the bad.
After reading the play 12 Angry Men I have come to the conclusion that the 12 jurors let a guilty man go free. The play begins with the 12 jurors in a murder case being very divided over what the verdict of the case should be. Even though there were more jurors who believed the man was guilty, with a combined effort of convincing and describing the evidence in different ways, they ultimately come to a not guilty verdict. When deciding if a man is guilty or not you should look at the suspect's background and evidence and avoid your own biases. They came to the wrong decision because of the way the evidence was obscured and the baggage each juror brought into the deliberation room.
The movie was pretty good with different types of personalities. Most of these guys on the team were pretty competitive for guys that are on a wheel chair on want to be active. Some of the things in the documentary is a little bit vulgar like the violence and the tone of some of these guys in the movie. Like for example, the coach for the Canadian
There are always two sides to every coin. For example, without evil, there can be no good. Is being a good person all about the things one does or is it about the reason one does the things they do? There 's good and bad in everyone. Humanity isn 't perfect, and our lives are so complex. In the film titled Nightcrawler, Louis Bloom shows viewers first-hand what it is like to be a journalist in the fast pace city of Los Angeles. Throughout the film, Louis attempts to manipulate the other characters and uses their weakness against them to get whatever he desires. Even though a person may be considered as a bad person they still could possibly commit actions that a good person normally world and vice-versa. For many people, it may be easy for them to characterize Louis as a bad person, due to the choices and decisions he makes through the movie. After watching the film several times, I am still pondering over what exactly it means to be a bad or good person. Everyone makes mistakes; it is inevitable. But the thing that separates a good person from a bad person is that a good person learns from those mistakes and never repeats those same mistakes again. Making mistakes is part of what makes us human. They not only help one learn from our experiences, but they also help shape one into the individual they would like to become. A good person is comfortable with both their strengths and weaknesses, treat others with respect, and are aware that their inner intentions are truly what
