Ring, went the bell signaling that fourth period was over. "Yay! We Mr. Bond's class next," I excitedly told my best friend Danniele as we walked out of art. "Ugh, I wish Mrs. Jones taught art at Dean," she said as we walked to class. After the short walk to class, I took my seat next to Danniele and got out my homework. As the bell rang for family time to begin, a guy walks in with a schedule in his hands, Based on that and the whispers around me, I figure out that he's the new kid. The more I looked at him, the more familiar he seemed. That's when it hit me he looked like a kid I knew named Jaymez back in first grade but I wasn't sure. I made a mental note to ask him about it later. Quickly I shook the idea from my head and paid attention to what Mr. Bond was saying. As the bell rang for lunch, I got out of my seat and went to catch up with Trina, Jessica, and Danniele. When I saw her in the hallway, she was talking to the new kid. Danniele and I decided it was time to introduce ourselves. "Hi, I'm Danniele." "And I'm Nathaly." "Oh, call me Jimmy," he as I smiled and nodded. He continued to tell us things about himself, and we told him things about ourselves. When we walked into the cafeteria, he went to sit down with some guys in our class. As lunch continued, I couldn't shake up the feeling that I knew him, but I …show more content…
As class continued we had little work to do. No matter what I did, I couldn't couldn't muster up the courage to ask him about it. Finally, after debating whether or not to ask him, I decided to ask him. When the five minute bell rang, I went up to him and asked, "What elementary or elementary' did you go to?" "Oh I've been to Cedar Brook, P-" "I went to Cedar Brook too," I said excitedly, as a his face filed with realization. "Nathaly," he practically yelled, while booped my nose. That's when I thought, "I was worried for
My first day of the second grade, I knew no one except the teacher and my younger brother. Kindergarten and first grade had been easy enough, but I was scared of the upcoming year. The only thing I knew about being the new kid was that it hadn’t panned out too great for Addie from the American Girl books. Mrs. Henson’s class was fairly quiet throughout the day, for most kids were nervous or tired. We neared the end of the day and I was ecstatic over the fact that hadn’t made a complete fool of myself. I hadn’t met anyone yet, but I thought that that would be a challenge for another day. Unfortunately, that’s not what Mrs. Henson had in mind. She sent us all out to recess with a grin plastered on her face and with me practically kicking
Homecoming night. As I waited for Liam to show up I paced back and forth. "Sissy you're still here?" Jace asked me. "Yes bubba. I'm waiting on Liam."I said firmly. "Liams coming?" he screamed. "Just to pick me up Jace." I said annoyed. He ran out, I felt a little bad. Jace and Sadie loved Liam, and Liam loved them. As I stopped mid thought I heard a horn honking. "Liams here!" Jace came running back into the family room where I hugged him and my younger sister. "Sorry i'm a little late." Liam apologized. "It's okay." I affirmed. As we drove in silence to the school I decided to break the silence. "Liam," I whispered, "there something I have to tell you." "What's wrong Analise?" he questioned. "I've been seeing things." I admitted. "Like what kind of things?" he asked. "I have seen shadows of things watching me," I shuffled as I said it " I don't know if I want to go to Homecoming." "That's fine we can go back to your house and watch movies." "Thanks for understanding Liam." I
It was an ordinary day in new york, People going to work, birds chirping to indicate that fall had just sprung. A normal tuesday, the sun rising, another ordinary school day at central queens junior high, but not for Robert. Robert had snuck out of school, and he had found out that a couple of his friends were sick. He invited them over and one of his best friends, Alex came over. Robert and Alex played down at the park where they had met up with one of Alex’s friends, Jacob. They hung out until it was time to go back over to Robert 's house, when his new acquaintance Jacob said,
Walking into the classroom, something just didn't seem right. The lights were out, blinds closed, and only one shadowy figure sat at the teacher’s desk. Just by the shape of the figure I could tell it wasn’t my teacher. A chill swept through the room making the hairs on my neck stand up. I began to sweat and my hands shook. I stood, staring at the shadow at the front of the room. I finally built up enough courage to mutter out “Who are you?” The figure then spoke with a deep, threatening voice “I think you know who I am!” This was true, I had met the figure a few years ago. I tried to escape the past, but it caught up to me. “How did the school let you in?” I asked. “Do you really think that I would come in here with permission?
A tall robust boy with dark hair and yellow eyes entered Ellingburg middle school school at exactly 7:55 on september the 18th, it was the second day of school. His big build is easy to locate in the rush of teens. There is a tap on his elbow he looks sideways, at a medium sized boy, something changes in his eyes. Jack is short compared to Sebastian. Jack is a skinny boy with long legs, his dark hair hanging loosely over his dark brown eyes. A loud bell rang and Jack grabbed Sebastian's arm. Sebastian froze for a second and then ran. Sebastian knows Jack just thinks of him as a friend, but it is different for him, he does not know if Jack knows.
Well, where to begin to tell you my story. Oh! Let’s start with the old recordings that show how it all began.
When he opened the door excitement ran through his blood. The room was huge! He could easily fit everything he ever wanted. Their was a window in his room where he could see the beaches with surfers surfing the waves. When everything was all set up Jim rushed into his room and jumped into his queen size bed. Jim grabbed the remote and turned on his TV and his PS3 and settled into his comfy bed. One thing rolled in and out of his brain though. Tomorrow was his first day at San Ysidro High School and Jim wasn’t sure what to expect. Jim alarm rang at 7 o’clock and Jim excitedly jumped out of bed and ran downstairs. “Read for your first day of school kids?”, said said Jim’s mom. “Yes Mom”, said Jim, and Jessica in unison. “Well you better hurry up if you don’t want to be late for the first day of school!”, said Jim’s and Jessica’s mom. “Now kids if you make your beds, do some laundry, and do some laundry every once awhile. I will pay you guys five dollars each.” , said said their mother. “Sweet” , said Jim and Jessica. “That starts today!” , said Amanda. After Jim had gotten ready he ran down his driveway to catch the bus. When the bus arrived Jim held his breath as he walked up the steps
Most of them were taken, but then I saw Jack and he waved at me and yelled: “Hey, over here!” I walked over to him and said: “Hey, what's up?” “Not much,” he said “We didn’t really do anything, all the teachers just had us learn the other people's names and what they liked.” We kept taking throughout lunch, and then the bell rang. “See ya later,” he said “See ya,” I said.
It wasn’t the first day of school, and it was no longer my new school. It was just an average day in high school. I went to my classes and took in depth notes, the only class I was looking forward to was AP English and it was cancelled for the day, due to Mr. Peters’ health. Even lunch was boring. Anna had band practice, so I found myself a seat in the cafeteria by myself. Even though English was cancelled I still expected to see Tanner around the school. Yesterday it seemed impossible not to run into the kid, but today he was just as good as being invisible as I was. Not one time did I even hear a mention of Tanner or Grace. It was if yesterday never happened and they had never
There standing there after saying “hi” in my cracky teenage voice she said “hi, what's your name” After waiting a few moments, “Walter, how about yours” Sticking her head out of her locker “Rosemary” After saying “well I better get to first period” Rosemary saying “ Okay see you around”. Sitting there inside first period thinking and wondering how she ended up in a small town like Frankton. During first period some kid figured out that she had transferred from Lapel because she moved into her grandparents. He also said the reason she moved in with her Grandparents is because her parents had blocked her out of their lives because they were addicted to drugs and alcohol. We didn’t talk to each other that much, when we passed each other
It was Jack’s second week at Crestwood Middle and he was still adjusting from his parents divorce. The small town was very different than the big suburbs of Chicago, where he used to live. Jack only had two friends, Samuel and Kyle. They became friends after a long conversation at lunch about video games. The new school was old and run down, unlike his previous school in Chicago.
When we reached the cafeteria, I tried to sit as far away from the girls, but they knew my plan before I could run away. “Jisu, I want to talk to you.” Their cold, bleak expression somehow inexplicably forced me to sit down. Remaining silent, I bolted on my lunch to get out of cringe- making situation as quickly as I could. “Almost done, almost done…” When I bit the last piece of apple, the girl suddenly broke out the silent. “Why do you think I’m a jerk?” The sudden question made me choke. Concerning whether to tell the truth or to make up a story, I unwillingly told the truth. “ Um… It’s just feel like you guys are different than me.” Saying the truth made me feel extremely occurred, but I kept going. “You guys seem you enjoy studying. I
My homeroom teacher, Mr. Harris, a six foot tall elderly man stood up from the faded brown chair pointing his wrinkled index finger at every single word on the chalk board in front of me and the tired class. His greyish black mustache slowly rose from his mouth as he said the goal for the day. “Just do something!” he shouted as he pointed at the board. He always had an attitude when he was speaking to the class for some reason. His wrinkled Blue dress shirt and dark brown pants was a perfect representation of his attitude, bland. “I know you all are going to sleep and laugh through the whole day. So do the other teachers a favor and don’t snore loud.” He said turning his face to us. His glasses looked as old as he was. The black paint on them began to chip showing the hidden metal frame as the light from the ceiling shined down on his wrinkled brown face. He rarely smiled but today he chose to because it was a “special day” and boy was it “pleasant”. His teeth were yellow and I could smell his breath from the middle of
They approach a yellow door dressed in math symbols that warmly greet them inside. A decent sized room with navy blue carpet and desks symmetrically set in pairs awaits them. “Come sit next to me,” says Stacy. Olivia follows Stacy down to the back of the class. They sit close to the back door. Eagerly she watches as her new classmates walk in. A tiny fair skinned woman walks in. She’s dressed in a lilac purple skirt and a white blouse. “Good Morning” she welcomes the class. “This is Miss Brown by the way,” says Stacy. “She’s really nice”. Olivia smiles “she seems nice”. Miss Brown starts doing the roll “Oh, It seems like we have a new student in our class” Her chocolate brown eyes look directly at Olivia. A rush of heat turns Olivia face blood red. “Hi” she squeaks. The whole entire class inspects Olivia. She can feel herself slowly sinking back into her hoodie. “Welcome to St Andrews you 're going to enjoy it here” Miss Brown 's smiles and carries on with class.
Once I was in the hallway I couldn’t decide to go left or right, but then I saw a girl who looked around my age sitting about six doors down from me with her head buried in a book. I became intrigued and decided to walk in her direction. This was so unlike me, usually I’m more on the shy side, and maybe it’s something in Hawaii’s air, but I really wanted to learn more about this girl and the book she seemed to be glued to. “Hi, I’m Emma!” I enthusiastically introduced myself as I approached her. “Oh hi there! My name is Sandy,” she said as she closed up her book and began to put it back in her bag. “I’m from Arkansas”, I said trying to keep the conversation going, “My family is staying here on vacation for the summer.” “So are we!” Sandy agreed, “I’m from Florida.” We kept talking for about thirty minutes and then our conversation was interrupted when I got a text message from my parents saying they were on their way back. “I have to go,” I said, “but
