Fletcher refuses previously established laws as the ones who decide whether each ethical act is either right or wrong. Ethical maxims as Fletcher calls them, must be respected and treated as an illumination for the decisión but can also set them aside if they don’t correspond to the principle of love. Every individual case requires a decision-making process to decide for the better good, and this depends on the circumstances. Love is the absolute principle. For a situationalist, relative decisions are taken according to the principle, not because the principle itself is relative, but because of the application. This relativeness helps in the discovery of what’s right. No act is either good or evil, the purpose each person has it’s what decides
