Dealing with Anderson has many things that are bad but one of the main things are is the economy and our atmosphere. Some things need to be handled differently around the town of Anderson. The environment we live in is somewhat normal but also very dangerous as well. Anderson needs to work on many things the main thing is trying to get our society looking a lot better. Some things in Anderson such as the roads, and all the construction that is going on, effects people that have to drive down those streets the reason it affects them is that they have to backtrack and continue to drive different ways that will waste more time. During winter time when anderson’s salt trucks go out to salt, and plow they usually mess up the roads and damage them

Morris Mining Corporation owns and operates mining facilities that are located in the United States, and Canada. This company primarily distributes extracted ores and minerals to their customers. Recently, in January 2015, Morris Mining acquired the mining company King Co. Once the company has been acquired, Mining Morris plans to record the difference of the purchase price and identifiable net assets as goodwill. The identifiable assets and liabilities of King Co. are going to be recorded at fair value on Morris Mining 's books. There has been discussion as to how the company is going to report the fair value for the patent that is part of the assets they acquired from King Co. Rob, an audit manager on the Morris Mining engagement, and Gabriela, the audit senior, are trying to evaluate if the method of the fair value estimate it reasonable.
1. Which firms are the “identical twins” of the Collinsville investment? Using the β’s for those assets and the methodology learned in this course, determines the appropriate discount rate for the Collinsville investment.
Though he and his family took a considerable amount of beatings, Anderson is willing to return to his old plantation under certain circumstances. Anderson wants to be paid for all the time he served before he became a freedmen and he wants confirmation that he and his children will be treated properly. The safety of his children is his highest priority and he even states at one point that he “would rather starve to death and die” than to watch his girls be abused. Both of these freed persons had different views of their former masters, and this is primarily because of the situation they were in in the North and also because of fact that their masters were very different characters. Once again, these varying attitudes are due to differences in
The crime rate has shot up over the years. People of Anderson seem to be kind of out of control. The crime has gotten bad because the poverty level has gone up. More and more citizens of Anderson are unemployed. Most people out living off a helpful , welfare and food stamp checks.
The case study focuses on an employee, Paul Keller, who is being affected by a number of factors. His job performance is hindered by constraints such as his work environment, his home environment, stressors, mood, and the management style of his superior. The case study demonstrates how his job performance is affected and what the consequences could be as a result of his poor job performance and lack of concentration.
Even though there are some common themes throughout this community there are some big differences. In the part of the community close to Moody Airforce base there is mostly new neighborhoods made up of nice looking houses. When driving through these neighborhoods in the middle of the day young kids are seen riding bikes without helmets and playing in the middle of the road. Also, many young adults can be seen walking or running around the neighborhoods. Additionally, there is a railroad track that runs through some of these neighborhoods and there is no railroad arm or lights to signal when a train
Looking into the first relative community destroying idea, the reading focuses on how roads and droning subdivisions can make it not worth living in these places. On the note of how roads affect our community, it says that “One’s role in this environment is primarily as a motorist competing for asphalt” (41). In this opening, it really proved true to the circumstances I have experienced. Living in Tampa, all I remember is how much time we spent in a car or not outside because it wasn’t safe to really walk anywhere around us so we were
Many people moved out west during the 1865’s through 1896 due to the mining frontier. Colonel George discovered gold on the Sioux land. The discover of gold attracted majority of the white population and wealth towards the west. Although the motivation for moving out west was significant, there were obstacles in the way towards getting west. Families who wanted to go west usually got the worst land because land-grabbing promoters and corporations stole most of the good land and families were financially set back due to the droughts out west.
The area is pretty rural and many of the housing structures appear to be modular or mobile homes. Several of the “stick-built” structures are in varied levels of disrepair. There is a lot of open space and land used for agriculture. The roads are mostly paved, but narrow and winding; especially in the northern part of the county. There are occasionally homes with evidence of solar panels and/or windmills, but they are not often seen. There are many churches of different denominations, but mostly Christian, seen all over the county. There are very few examples of public transportation in Stokes County. There are parks available in the town centers, but they are small. There is Hanging Rock State Park offering hiking trails and camping with plenty of streams and ponds for fishing and outdoor activities. The following were issues that I found based on concepts of epidemiology. 1) The county is medically underserved as it is a more rural area with hard to access areas. 2) Dentists are not staying in the area and we have fewer dentists than the NC state average per 10,000 people. 3) There is a lack of public transportation and 4) there is a lack of mental health care services.

Monitoring and control activities are essential components to effective project management (Chrissis, Konrad, & Shrum, 2011; PMI, 2013). The main purpose of monitoring and control activities are to having an understanding of project progress/performance against the agreed upon plan, identify potential risks, provide accurate forecasts, and to ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary (Chrissis et al., 2011; PMI, 2013). Successful cost and schedule control involves much more than merely monitoring project progress and costs, it involves thorough analysis of the data (Kerzner, 2013, p. 738). One of the most effective tools for performance measurement, monitoring, and control is earned value management (EVM); a powerful technique which employs quantitative data to objectively monitor and control project progress (De Marco & Narbaev, 2013).
Allen & Overy is renowned for being one of the most diverse and varied law firms globally, and has paved the way into building a more fair and just society. The first reason I wish to be a part of the Smart Start experience is because I aspire to repair the tenuous side of the law and prevail in the pursuit of justice. Undertaking Work Experience with Allen & Overy would enable me to achieve this and take the first step into cultivating and broadening my academic horizons. Secondly, I have an avid interest in law but am keen to explore a number of specialisms and I feel Smart Start would be the best exposure for me. Additionally, I will relish the opportunity to network and liaise with different people of different nationalities and expand
