Canyonlands National Park, immense amounts of wilderness and rock, is located at the heart of the Colorado Plateau (Canyonlands National Park-Geology). Millions of years have formed specific features to the rock and surrounding wilderness that make it so special. Throughout the park, you will find that the sedimentary rock has formed many features such as hundreds of colorful canyons, mesas, buttes, fins, arches, and spires. The Green and Colorado rivers have played a major role in the formation of many of these features. These rivers cut through the park forming two massive canyons. This further splits the park into three distinct zones. “Island in the Sky” sits to the north while “The Maze” sits off to the west and “The Needles” to the

Unfortunately, due to many factors over the past 20 years, Gold Butte has been on center stage, but not just for tourism.
The city has a mild year-round climate with an average of 201 days above 70 degrees. A sign of global warming is that the average surface temperature of the water has increased 3 degrees since 1950. San Diego lies on approximately 200 deep canyons and hills, creating small pockets of natural open space scattered throughout the city and giving it a mountainous geography. Due to this scattered open space, it causes a significant change in climate over short geographical distances. The San Diego River runs through the middle of San Diego while several reservoirs lie between and also separate the developed areas. The city also runs through two fault zones, the Rose Canyon and Point Loma faults, which are part of the San Andreas Fault system. It

On the early morning of March 15, 1968, thousands of sheep within the town started showing signs and symptoms of an odd, peculiar disease; they were unable to come to their feet and without the ability to keep their necks straight, soon after, they were lying dead in the farms across the town. This incident, which became known as The Dugway Proving Ground Accident, generated national attention, in an era marred by public political unrest and an American public highly suspicious of their government.

Las Vegas is such a great place to live because of the superb weather. Las Vegas has a typical desert climate, with hot summers, mild winters, year long sunshine and very little rainfall. Some may complain that it is too hot to live in Las Vegas over the summer. The high temperatures in the months of July and August normally exceed one hundred degrees, but as my Las Vegas local Daniel Rogalski can tell you, it's really not that bad: "Las Vegas is hot over the summer, but it's not that bad. We have very little humidity and I would much rather be in Las Vegas when it is one hundred and five degrees than be in Florida with high humidity when it is
