Many heroes exists in todays world. Some are just fictional but the real ones are the ones worth mentioning. A true hero is a person who is willing to sacrifice everything for the well being of others. they're giving personalities cause them to give everything they can to help others. According to the dictionary, a hero is “a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.” I believe, however, that a hero is someone who exceeds expectations and does not stick to the status quo. Heroes will always try to do the right thing. They will put other people’s life above their own if they are given the chance to. This may include running into a fire to save someone, or helping a friend out if it is the right thing to do.

A hero is someone who is admired for their courage and their dedication for helping others . Heroes put others before themselves and care for others without wanting anything in return. According to the about definition, Odysseus, the main character in the epic poem The Odyssey, does not deserve to be called a hero. As great as he is seen to be, Odysseus had weaknesses that lengthened his and his men’s journey back to Ithica, a major trait being his ability to not be dependable. Before the Trojan war began he feigned insanity but was caught.

A Hero, in my opinion, is someone who sets an example, and pulls through the tough times as a leader. They can also defined as someone who expands our sense of possibility (LaBarge). Heroes are chosen by us from the culture they are from and the qualities they have. Some of these qualities include bravery, prowess, loyalty, honor and strength (Jokinen). Epic Heroes, Superheroes, and Personal Heroes are all types of Heroes people in today’s society can connect to.

A hero in my eyes is someone who helps others without being asked. For example opening a door for someone if they are carrying multiple things. The hero feels caring for others is valuable. For example when someone is sick you take care of them. They are determined to achieve and be successful.

What is a hero? A hero is not somebody with the ability to fly, run really fast, or control other people's minds,... A hero is a random person that rises to the occasion and performs the action(s) of superhero proportions. “The only use of an obstacle is to be overcome. Whether it's selfless individuals that protect others against harmful entities or powerful figures in costumes that depict moral greatness and power fantasies, everyone has their own vision of what constitutes a hero. Like many of our own thoughts and opinions, these visions often stem from the environment and upbringing of the people that have them. A fantastic example of this aspect of our thoughts is the way George Orwell described a hero. He views a hero as someone who will do whatever they can to change social systems that lack respect for human decency, even if they know it is impossible to create such change.

A hero in general is someone who stands foe strength, endurance, humbleness and shows great bravery. In our modern day society, we have many heroes, such as, firefighter, police officers, lifeguards, soldiers, doctors and even ordinary man and women whom risk their lives everyday. For example, soldiers fight wars on the borders of our country to keep civilians safe. Firefighter control deadly situations in spite of putting themselves in danger to save someone’s life. Ordinary men and women fight incurable diseases like cancer, AIDS, mental and physical disabilities and still have the strength to face life with a positive approach.

Today many people believe that a hero is a person who can accomplish what others can not or a person who puts themselves on the line for the other people. A hero is someone that has courage or ability, which is admired for their brave deeds and their noble qualities. The job of being a hero is not very simple, it involves a lot of complex actions. Imagine yourself sitting at a NBA game, and your favorite team is playing for a championship game. Your team is losing by thirty points entering the fourth quarter. You and every other fan is hanging your heads down and start to tear up. You are wishing that someone will save your team and win the rivalry game. Then one person step up on the court and sparks a fire on the court and put your team ahead by 15 points, by the end of the fourth quarter. After he brings the team ahead, the team wins the rivalry game, and everyone that had their heads down pick their heads up and is cheering with joy. That one person who stepped up and carried the team on his back, the person who got everyone to pick their heads up, the person who cleared all the tears off their faces and satisfied the fans and team needs. That one person is a hero for their community and their fans, because they satisfied the needs of coming back to win the game. In the eyes of people, heroes are very simple; but it's actually complex because of the characteristics that single them out from ordinary humans, like carry others and other problems on their backs, having excellent leadership, cheering up and inspiring youth within the world, and killing monsters with unusual strength and powers.
