An act of kindness is a spontaneous gesture of goodwill towards someone or something. Random acts of kindness can be anything from volunteering at a hospice center, volunteering at animal shelters, doing community service, or even giving a stranger a compliment. Throughout my life, I've always tried to be kind to people in some way. In elementary I volunteered with special needs kids, I was considered a pal. My job as a pal was to talk to them, play with them, and help them with anything they needed. They needed love and support and I was that person to give it to them. In high school, my act of kindness was going back to my middle school to help coach track for the middle schoolers. Those are some of the many things I've done to be kind,
People often perceive kindness in different ways, some think of the smaller things and some the larger. Acts of kindness are like wonders of the world they make it a better place. For example mountains some see this grand rock that the sun reflects off of in the morning and others see a glorified piece of rock. Smaller acts of kindness are just as important as bigger ones. Usually when one thinks of the word kindness some act or person comes into mind and my person is Leticia Chavez a.k.a Ducky.
Kindness is the source of goodness that leads people to true happiness. We help others hoping that it changes their life for the better.
Although I would consider myself a decently nice person, I never realized it as much until I received the Kiwanis Award a year ago. There was a whole speech written about my achievements and how fantastic I was and everything. One very prominent part of the speech was how kind I was to others, no matter how badly they talked about others. People saw me as an extremely kind person, which I myself do not exactly believe. But my compassion towards others was strongly emplaced alongside all of my other achievements and was great enough to have me nominated for the Kiwanis
Kindness comes in different forms, that can alter someone's day instantly. In “Enrique's Journey”, he witnesses kindness from several people in his time of ultimate weakness. Kindness in my life may not be that extreme, but it is appreciated. Even though giant acts of kindness aren't as prevalent as
“For the dead and the living we must bear witness”(Elie Wiesel). The book “Night” was published in 1956, by Elie Wiesel. He talks about the Holocaust and how he survived it and what the conservation camp was like and how he was treated. Throughout “night” one of the major themes was the idea of small acts of kindness. These moments in the story are important because they show what a huge difference one person can make.
I believe that for majority of people Pre-Conventional (level 1) is what we base almost all of our decisions on. We imprint these concepts into our children from a very young age, we teach them that if they don't clean their room they will lose something, and that if they act and do as they are told they will be rewarded. I don't believe that there is truly very many acts of real kindness. Though some do exist, it's almost the exception to the rules of behavior. We live in a society that thinks if they do something nice for another it must be filmed, or ranted about. You see these videos everywhere some stranger buying a homeless guy a meal, or giving him clothing. If you need so desperately for acknowledgement for doing the right thing, it
change someone. When you do that it will not only have a lasting impact on
People sometimes forget the simple fact that being nice to others can actually be good for them. My mother and some unique persons whom am going to mention later guided and chided me to being a very nice person. Sometimes it works and sometimes it didn 't. After all, we all get ill-tempered from time to time and take it out on those around us. We can see that being nice to others is good for them, but did you realize it 's in your best interest too?
I don’t understand how some people can be so rude and hurtful to other individuals. I’m the type of person that is kind and helpful to other people, for the most part at least. It feels good to be kind.
Kindness is a great virtue that every single one of us should have, our society needs to be more kind and love our neighbors as ourselves. I think our society does not understand what Kindness means and we forget to do to our neighbors what we want them to do for us. Kindness is more than simple attitudes, kindness is sometimes give up our desires to serve those in need, kindness is serving without expecting something in return, kindness is not something forced, it comes from who we are. It may sound redundant but we cannot be kind if we are not kind, I mean, we cannot offer a ‘fake kindness’ because kindness is authentic.
There is no doubt that kindness is the solution to everyones problems. Being kind is another way of expressing yourself, which in my opinion, is like relieving yourself from excitement. The act of sharing your happiness and helping people who need it is my definition of kindness. In fact I witness kindness everyday; however, to see kindness you may need to encounter someone mean.
Kindness. Don’t you wonder what this world would be like if most of us are kind enough to care not just of ourselves but to the rest of the people around us? While kindness is free, the world is lacking much if it. Life can be hard. It can be painful and unforgiving. Though I believe this is true, I also believe that we don’t need to go through it alone. If all of us can just spread kindness, life wouldn’t be as rough as we think it is. Being kind doesn’t mean that you have to be selfless. It doesn’t mean that you have to change you routine, or change your life. A simple, random act of kindness can touch and change people’s lives. A pat on someone’s shoulder can make someone feel everything is going to be okay no matter what they are going
Being kind is simple, kind words or actions could make someone’s day better. If teens try something kind everyday the world would be a better place. Kindness can be defined in many ways there are many different definitions but it means doing something nice for another person just to make their day. “Always be a little kinder than nessacary”- James m. Barrie. Is a great quote to follow students can always do something kinder than nessacary to make someone’s day better. James m. Barrie was the producer of Peter Pan before he died he gave the rights of Peter Pan works to Great Ormond Street Hospital for children. After he died all the movie funds went to the hospital. The kids got some of the money from the movie Peter Pan which was very kind.
Treating others with kindness benefits everyone involved. For example, in the story “Angel in Disguise”, the author states "We'll keep her a day or two longer; she is so weak and helpless," said Mrs. Joe Thompson…” She was starting to open up to Maggie and realize that she loves her as if she were her own child. This helps lift Mrs. Thompson’s sprits and shows her that she can feel feelings. This shows how being kind to Maggie made her a more loving person in the end. Additionally, in the article, “Teaching Kindness,” the author states that “As minds and bodies grow, it’s abundantly clear that children require a healthy dose of the warm-and-fuzzies to thrive as healthy, happy, well-rounded individuals.” This is proof that children need kindness
I believe that kindness is a standout amongst the most vital human qualities. I think it is really nice to do a random act of kindness sometimes, and it can truly change the standpoint of another person's day. Once I got this assignment about the random act of kindness I was really glad to take part in a great deal of kind-heartedness. It’s always good to make yourself a blessing to someone else.
